Sneakily Grinding Your Opponent's Cards - Mill Rogue with StanCifka
StanCifka brings us some post-nerf glory today with his Mill Rogue deck. Let's take a look at it and push ourselves onto the ladder to cause chaos!
You can follow StanCifka on Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
How it Works
This is a late-game, control style deck which has two different win conditions:
- Bring your opponent into fatigue, dealing great damage to them.
- Burning their key cards, preventing them from having win conditions of their own.
Let's take a look at how this all works.
- Valeera the Hollow is essential to the deck. Her Shadow Reflection will allow you to draw out extra cards through Coldlight Oracle spam.
- If your opponent has plenty of minions on the field, push them back into their hand to fill it up and burning the following cards they draw.
- Coldlight Oracle is assisted not only by Valeera but also Shadowstep and Youthful Brewmaster.
- Are you in fatigue yourself? Shadowblade will prevent any damage you take so go crazy!
- Mulligan for Coldlight Oracle unless you're fighting aggro. With aggro its a good call to keep cards like Backstab, Doomsayer, and Tar Creeper.
- Although Skulking Geist is a great Jade counter, it can also help whittle down your opponent's cards, bringing them to fatigue quicker.
- It is possible to deal 31 damage in a single turn if your opponent is out of cards.
- 24 Damage: With Valeera: Shadowblade, Coldlight Oracle (3), Copied Oracle (7), Shadowstepped Oracle (11), Face with Weapon (3).
- 7 Damage: Opponent draws at the start of their turn.

Been having great success so far this season with this deck. I subbed a doomsayer for a mind control tech guy. It's won me a lot of games.
This deck destroys priest. If you see a shaman mulligan hard for that Vanish and you can fuck them over bad. Evolve becomes their worst nightmare. They turn their cheap board into a bunch of mediocre expensive minions and they can't drop them fast enough. This can really destroy druid. The geist is obvioulsy a great tech against them but you can also wait for them to draw big hands and then burn off a large portion of their deck.
nice deck
Some random noname created a deck and put it here with no guide ? Time to whine in comments to get guide.
Actual pro player put a tested deck with great guide and youtube video ? Time to whine that he is paying to site to promote himself.
Really ? WTF with you people ? The guy took time to write good guide, tested non-meta deck and you still saying shit about him ?
The best part of jade druid is it makes mill decks cry
Not if you run one copy of Skulking Geist
Even with that one, mill rogue is making him go through his deck, in other words there's no need to waste 1 turn on the 10 mana spell, the druid can and will build up his jades. And considering a big part of the deck strategy is Banish....
You mean [card]Skulking Geist[/card] the "Jade Killer" lol
Keep Coldlight Oracle or you will find trouble searching for him.
First time, I tried this was a mirror match. Boy was that stupid and fun at the same time.
Uh Day9 ran this deck like a week after the expansion hit. This isn't really new.
so what it might be new for someone else, today! obviously there are only so many archetypes and possible decks iterations to make. tomorrow it will be something else.
Promoting the less interactive deck/archetype in the game. /clap
what do you want? a spotlight on the jade druid or pirate warrior? I am not a fan of mill rogue but I like a spotlight of the deck. It's finally something different than those meta decks.
I only want to not see a Mill deck again ever. I like the games which BOTH players are playing, that's why I'm not playing too much Hearthstone this xpac.
I dont understand why this deck has so many upvotes, its too inconsistent, i played around 18 games and won 4 against quest mages only.
Mill Warlock also does everything better.
there is no such thing as mill warlock! Warlock burn cards not mill them

Was playing nearly this exact deck a day or 2 after expansion release. Ferrymen over Chain Gang only difference. Not new at all. Just a mill deck that pretty much everyone who wanted to try mill with Rouge DK pretty much came up with on their own.
