BlizzCon 2017 Virtual Ticket
This Wednesday we're going to be getting information on the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket for this year. Blizzard says they're going to be making some "exciting changes" this year for the Virtual Ticket.
Quote from BlizzardBlizzCon is just two months away, but we’re already gearing up to get the party started! Tune in to BlizzCon.com this Wednesday, September 13 at 12pm PT for a special livestream kickoff of the BlizzCon 2017 Virtual Ticket, featuring this year’s Virtual Ticket hosts: Michele Morrow, Alex Albrecht, and Malik Forté.
During the livestream, you’ll get a first look at some exciting changes we’re making to the Virtual Ticket this year—and as a bonus, we’ll be revealing the first of this year’s BlizzCon in-game goodies! We can’t wait for you to join us.
I live in South Africa, it would cost me a fortune to attend Blizzcon and i would do it if i had the time and money, but the Virtual ticket is so convenient and the extra goodies are always nice :)
More to do with Michelle Morrow than with the picture imo.
So you think if you go physically it's ok to pay but if you want to watch remotely it should be free? Sound logic... Honestly, your entire argument is swiss cheese.
"They're already paying to physically pick up the pizza, it's pure greed to ask money for delivery!".
That's not what greed is at all; that's a price. If you don't value it enough to spend the money, don't. Greed is you coming here to leave this comment because you expect it for free.
Additionally i think it is hilarious, you referring to Blizzcon as "Blizzard's own advertisements of their own products".
1. They don't have to advertise anything to these people, they already love the games and that's the entire reason they are interested in this in the first place XD.
2. What would they advertise instead if they were advertising? Fifa2018? Jesus christ.
There's many possible factors at play here. You either:
-Don't have a clue what you are talking about and want free shit
-Bought it once and didn't like it and think nobody else should because you want your money back
-Extremely dense
-A troll
Enjoy Blizzcon!
It's like as if Olympic Games suddenly sells live tickets, you have to pay 39.99 to watch it from your home, like wtf
Your parents pay 39.99 for cable that you watch for free.
Seriously though, that's not even comparable. That's basically a worldwide traditional sports competition that everyone can relate to. Blizzcon is a convention for blizzard games and blizzard fans...
A better comparison is that the Global Games are the Olympics of Hearthstone.
It's actually the opposite to be honest. It's a lot cheaper to stay at home and watch it than to go there yourself and spend hundreds of dollars for travel and a place to stay (and people come from all over the world).
Not sure why you don't think they should make any money off of it either. It's not a charity event. Your whole argument revolves around you thinking they should just be breaking even it even?
You think that paying for the stream entitles you to more than those who pay for the trip? You pay a premium to go and see developers and ask your own questions. Not even to blizzard, to airlines and gas stations and hotels.
It is actually a pay-per-view type event. So you are saying it's less content than, what i assume, is some sort of fighting match that probably lasts, what, an hour? Perhaps it's shameful for them to charge you for that, arguably, since you are already a fan and all, and you don't even get to be there and meet the fighters! It doesn't equate to a live experience! It's just an advertisement for professional fighting! You just value that more, that's all there is to it. Stick to your sporting events and you will be happy. I'll continue to enjoy the virtual ticket. The e-sports coverage alone trumps the rock-em-sock-em.
I actually enjoy listening to the panels and learning all kinds of cool things about the games and development you may otherwise never know. I enjoy being able to watch what i want conveniently, and as many times as i want for the next couple weeks. There's so much going on there, rather than a couple guys punching each-other and being rich either way. I enjoy watching it at the comfort of my own pc without having to travel and be around people.
The fact that you consider it all only advertising shows complete lack of interest for a majority of the convention. No need to bash things just because you don't like it. It's not a good idea to speak as though your own opinion is the definitive word on what is good and what isn't. Don't buy it, but i will. I look forward to Blizzcon every year. The only thing i could think of that was a downside to the virtual ticket is that if you don't watch certain things live, it takes a short while for the VOD to be added uploaded.
Pay per view UFC fights average $60 a view.
Blizzcon is cheaper, go figure.
Keep on saying that there's nothing close to the price-point and that its high-way robbery tho.
Another bag? How cheap Blizzard
