Blizzard is Considering Options for Druid - More Information this Week
Hearthstone's Game Director, Ben Brode, tweeted this afternoon that we'd be seeing information from Blizzard this week on the problematic Druid class. Stay tuned! To the ground with you!
Quote from Ben BrodeThanks for the feedback regarding Druid. We've been considering options and should have more to share this week.
Remember when we were hopeful for the nerfs to stop druid domination while we accepted that Razakus Priest would likely dominate?
A simpler time...
Druid is 10x weaker right now. He can't cast UI with 6 mana anymore. He can't get out of sticky situations so easily with Spreading Plague. Unless he has perfect draws each turn and you have nothing to play at all he wins otherwise Jades are shit right now. And i'm so happy. :D
Is it just me or anyone else thinks that the real Druid problem is Jade Idol rather than Ultimate Infestation? The real problem about games with Dudus is that a card like that drives them to an unfair late game situation. Simply remove or nerf the idol and the problem is solved, you cannot just create a card like Skulking Geist... Are you serious Blizzard? Worst designed card ever, just write on it "Battlecry: Remove all Jade Idols from your opponent's deck and hand", because that is its only purpouse, other than ruining the fun to Evolve Shamans.
Anyway, solve this problem faster as you can Blizzard, because the real problem is another one: Pirate Warriors. THAT is the real problem in Hearthstone meta right now.
The problem with Ultimate Infestation is that it does like 17-18 mana worth of stuff, but it only costs 10 mana. If you wanted it to be perfectly balanced, change all the numbers on it to 3. I mean it would never see play again, but it would be perfectly balanced. I'm preparing for down votes. Good day. Hexx
At least UI didnt have Summon a 5/5 weapon right?
This season I played against 48.6% Druid out of 146 games ...
Kill it. Kill it with fire.
Thank god, better late than never.
Easy fix, just put innervate in hall of fame should balance things out enough.
Just cos you don't play wild, doesn't mean others don't. It's not a solution.
It doesn't matter if they announce changes, it takes them a minimum of one month to initiate them because of the various platforms. Enjoy Druid Ladder the next month, now even more prevalent because people want to get in their jollies with an imbalanced class for easy laddering while they can.
Former Jade Druids just needed to draw nearly perfect cards at the beginning to survive against aggro. And to be honest: It was ok!! Every deck needs to have a weakness against a special type of other deck. But just leaving the opponent filling the board and playing an ass-opening Spreading Plague is just annoying
Jade Idol should not shuffle copies of itself into the deck. It should shuffle weaker versions of itself. Maybe if the number shuffled into the deck is reduced each time.
finally! something might happen within 3 months! :-p well done blizzard, well done! :)
the problem of druid is ramp effects they need to remove all of the ramps maybe only let wild growth and change nourish
Ramping mana is Druid's identity and that mechanic exists before Jade Druid.
For those who thinks UI is not a problem but the main problem is the Jade idol. Before the new meta, jade druids need Gadgetzan Auctioner and small cost spells to cycle those jade idols. Thus it needs a combo. Now they only need UI.
By the way, there exists a minion to avoid this idol generation. Skulking Geist. Just put it in your deck.
Unfortunately, by UI druid can easily win even without the idol.
I don't know if you ever played Skulking Geist ,but he's not a good counter card. He can you win the game yes ,but often you run him in a deck that cycles slower than Jadedruid. Thus the Jadegolems are already huge and he is basically useless.
Even if you find him let's say on turn six , Druid can still pump out 8/8 or 9/9 ( if one idol has been played) much faster than you find your removals on average.
And if the Geist is on the bottom of your deck it's Gg anyway.
And I have one slightly more realistic (but less fun) fix: The true infestation. By dealing damage to your hero instead of gaining armor playing UI is very powerful still, but risky against fast decks. Problem solved.
