Feeling Gul'dangerous? StanCifka's Demonlock from the Hearthstone Global Games
Today StanCifka brings us an in-depth guide to the Demonlock deck Team Czech Republic played during the Hearthstone Global Games this past weekend. Let's take a look at how it works, some gameplay, and the deck itself.
You can follow StanCifka on Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
How it Works
This is a late-game style deck which in StanCifka's words is very hard to pilot properly. Expect mistakes in many of your first games until you get a hang of the deck.
- Ideally you want to keep your 1-cost cards, though Mortal Coil only if going second. View the full mulligan guide.
- Defile, and board clear in general, is core to the deck. Your opponent will hate you.
- Protect yourself through your taunt minions which will allow you to make use of your Hero Power more since you aren't taking damage from the enemy.
- End things with Bloodreaver Gul'dan by flooding the board with your Demon buddies through incredible value.
- Elise the Trailblazer and The Lich King are alternative game winning scenarios which too are filled with incredible value.

Why would StanCifka play Ironbeak Owl instead of Spellbreaker? It's +1 mana for +2/+2 stat.
Prince Valanar doesn't work with Spellbreaker in the deck
And it has 1 HP for defile prock
I don't know about this version I would rather play with Kaza and Krull I mean lock is the only class that can work pretty well with Kazakus demond mechanincs, it can give you demons to hand summon an 8/8 and revive your dead demons; sure Krul is not a beast but it can also help a lot and with abyssal enforcer, defile, twisting neather, and new dreadlord you can control the table and a good Gul'dan can close the deal and you also have Jaraxxus and LK.
Besides StanCifka's achievement and professionalism, there are too much 'lucky/unlucky' situations in this play.
So you kinda just stall the game until guldan and then...board wipe? I mean this is basically the same as most DK guldan decks and I would think that most people seeing a warlock as their opponent at this point are expecting that come turn 10+ they will flood the board with the demons you've been killing all game. Unless you are getting really good at baiting out removal, this deck just craps out at that point.
Stan is God
I love his unconventional deckbuilding style!
No comments on the pun in the title...
More cancerous than the current meta.
Tell me BarrothHS don't you feel a little .... Gul'Dangerous ? ^^
Wow... Either people think I am a really salty player or they just love puns.
its cuz peoplr on this website are stupid idiots
In a meta full of Druid I don't really know if this can even work, maybe with an early Skulking Geist and some excellent draws. Imho is not very performing on Standard Ladder.
hes talking like an expert, he just got awesome luck and the game give him the victory with greats topdecks and poor draws for drhippy.
The matchup is only remotely winable with Medivh and Skulking Geist and even then you're not favored. Jade is disgusting and its oppression of control is what allows all this cancer aggro to flourish now.
Stan Cifka must be a Druid, 'coz he's featured in 90% of the decks that are promoted on the front page.
I'm actually more surprised when i see a deck being showcased that doesn't have StanCifka's name plastered all over the front page.
Guys this is a tournament deck witch tech cards for specific matchups, it's not good for laddering, don't just mindlessly copy it. Go to the deck page and read the guide, especially [possible changes] paragraph...
Is this Stancifka paying Hearthpwn for exposure? Why always highlight his decks, over others?
