Encounter at the Crossbones is This Week's Brawl!
Encounter at the Crossbones! Get a random class and deck... good luck!
Trivia
- This is a brand new brawl!
- The name is a slight change over the Encounter at the Crossroads brawl.
How it Works
- Play Brawl! You'll be given a random hero once you enter the game.
- Your deck is also completely randomized. Woo RNG!
- Your deck will always contain the Death Knight card for your class.
- Frozen Throne cards are weighted to appear more often in your deck. This is great for playing with new cards.
Discuss the Brawl
Head on over to our brawl forum to talk about the brawl.
Too few spells int he decks. The one who gets the best minions wins.
I HATE THIS BRAWL
Worst case is getting win 5 brawls as daily quest
retardet brawl..the rng factor is so damn high...do they even plan these things?
6 wins out of 6 games. This brawl is exactly like arena, you just need to adjust when to go face or trade. I have seen much worse brawls than this though. I have drawn one DK in these 6 games. Opponents have not played any, idk if they drawed any.
This brawl is worse then spiders one. 15 games, 2 wins. Lost atleast 3 times to retards who cant even trade, rope every turn, but have a perfect answer after perfect answer vs my no-spells and no-class cards all-crappy-neutral-minions deck. In 15 games i've seen 3 spells in my decks, and havn't seen a SINGLE deathknight. The RNG is not weighted towards class cards looke like, it is weighted towards new expansion in general, wich means you can and WILL have 29-neutral cards decks, as I did in multiple games. Its painful.
Disappointing. Another random drafted arena brawl. GLHF.
Is there a bug? Have won with Shaman several times and I'm not getting credit for Today's Quest (Shaman or Warlock Dominance).
It would seem the win game with x class quests aren't working with this particular brawl.
So yet another week where as soon as you get your pack there's no need to play multiple games unless you either have the win 5 brawls quest or you really like RNG!
Another great brawl to introduce Frozen Throne content - random x random garbage!
The description says each deck has the Death Knight, but I have played nearly a dozen Brawls and have not seen one yet, for my side or the opponent. Almost always goes at least to turn 10... maybe I am just really unlucky with them.
I am not angry with this brawl, just disappointed. Because if you remember the last brawl it was "shift con" and that was pretty much just a random deck. And if you remember the one before that it was "Dino's vs elementals" and that was random deck. So that is THREE tavern brawls in a row were you just have a random deck. And that's just straight up annoying.
This brawl is garbage!
Just got the win 5 brawl matches quest. Looks like Im up for some RNG games.
Would much prefer a brawl with 29 cards and the DK gets automatically added. At least people would get to test the DKs for free. But this is just another bad RNG brawl.
You didn't read the rules. "Your deck will always contain the Death Knight card for your class." The one who draws it first wins...
I worded my post poorly (English is not my native language).
What I meant is the Brawl would be so much more fun, if you could choose a class, build a 29 card deck from your collection and the game would add the DK into your deck. This would let everyone test the DK for free in the deck they want. Not in a deck, where you have all three princes and several other cards with the same mana cost.
The problem that I see with these type of brawls aimed at new players is that while it's all well and good showing them shiny new cards, there's no real way for them to learn decent synergies with other cards if the entire deck is random.
I feel more experienced players are going to be better able to play this brawl because they understand how to best play bad hands or get the most value out of cards and ultimately if this level of frustration shown on the forum is felt by the newer players, it may turn them against the whole Hearthstone experience.
Perhaps instead of random cards, we're given pre-built decks (like the recipe) or you can pick random cards pre-game (like in Arena) and that way the games could be more fun and new players are getting a better learning experience.
Also I liked the earlier suggestion of sticking in bone themed cards, that adds value to the brawl and gives us something that we couldn't normally get access to. For me, the spirit of the brawl is an experience that we can't get on ladder or in Arena and it's a chance to play the game in weird and wacky ways. Rolling a dice and praying to the RNG gods is not that...
