turn three FW plus southsea deckhand + patches. ofc its not as powerful as drawing FW in the first place but the most likely guaranteed arcanite reaper is nice on top of that.
there have been nice control cards added to the game, so a few aggro cards won't bother me actually
It's not an aggro card.
You can't afford to do nothing on turn two. You can't! You have 6, 7 turns - MAX to kill your opponent.
It's bad enough not to have a one-drop, intentionally putting a card that's dead until late game in your deck is suicide.
Not to mention that turn 3 is crucial.
You play Frothing Berserker or Southsea Captain, or something! It's a charge forward time! It's a "I'm going to kill you, and here's how: ..."-turn.
Why is the concept of playing your cards on curve so difficult to grasp? It's not about value! It's not about draw! It's about dealing 30 damage to your opponent's face quickly, before they enter the late-turns, where they easily outvalue you, no matter what you do! The deck's been around for, what, a year? Two years? How long's it been?
I kill you before you become stronger than me! It's a very simple concept, people!
Aggro decks are hard, I guess.
Warrior already has so much card draw! Why not share with with the classes that struggle with it like Hunters and Shaman? This is so much better than Ice Fishing since practically every Warrior deck uses weapons but most Shaman decks don't use murlocs.
well giving this kind of card to the most weapon-card oriented class makes sense to me.
btw Shamans mana tide is one of the best draw cards, don't you think? Hunters received card draw in ungoro and FT
Top tier Arena card, this is exactly what Warrior needed to make them viable am glad Team 5 is finally addressing this issue.
Reminds me of "Plunder" from legends elder scrolls. Not that this is a such complex effect that some1 copied or something , just sayin.. was a matter of time for warrior to get his hands on such effect. Tho not sure where this is more useful, Pirate or Control?
Noooooo!!!
haha you guys are talking about control warriors and pirate warriors, I'm thinking about how much easier it'll be to complete the "Play 10 weapons" quest.
this card makes me feel bad.
This isn't a Pirate Warrior card, this is a Control Warrior card as you can afford to tutor for Gorehowl.
Seems like quite a few classes are getting multiple draw cards, which are somewhat undercosted in exchange for specific restrictions, like Roll the Bones for Rouge, Ice Fishing for Shaman, this for Warrior... Then of course we have crazy Ultimate Infestation for Druid, but that's another story.
Good in general, fine if you are a PW in a topkek mode
So you wont want this in pirate warrior because the deck is saturated with cards that all do the same thing. Any draw is going to be fine, there's no reason to draw extra cards in a turn. Maybe a 1 of if you absolutely need it to go late with pirates but i doubt it.
That said, this can't be looked at as "2 mana: draw 2". You can only play 1 weapon at a time so this should realistically be looked at as "2 mana: draw 1 and burn 1 card from your deck." I don't think that's a good enough card to justify a slot in control decks. Control wants to be playing a variety of different effects in the same deck so being restricted to weapons when you might want armor gain or a taunt minion isn't good.
I might be willing to pick up a copy of this in arena but then I'd want to make sure I have enough weapons, and I also run the risk of drawing my weapons early when I want them and this becomes a dead topdeck. Really too many reasons why this is bad.
I love the potential for this :)
Blood razor is gonna be insane
Makes you want to play more weapons to avoid this being a dead draw, but if you have too many weapons then you'll have dead draws anyway because you can't use multiple weapons at once. I can see this as a one of in pirate for face smashing, or to fetch some kind of utility weapon from future expansions. But, as I said, having too many weapons is inherently bad so there's not much room to explore with this card.
Good in extremely weapon-centric deckd (with the 3/3 that buffs a weapon in hand) got consistency, but then you'd probably need much stronger armor/health gain than is currently available to survive trading. Acolyte seems more flexible at the moment, since you really don't want to draw weapons if you already have one in hand.
In arena it's god-tier, since weapons is the only strength of Warrior there.
Oh...oh no...oh god why? Why won't Pirate Warrior die already?!
Not best in Pirate Warrior! PIrate warrior wants to topdeck weapons, not pay 2 of their precious mana to find them. This works much better in a midrange/control deck that doesn't heavily rely on minions or tempo.
