LOL, but 5 will hit your face and four your enemies face. That is how Spreading Madness performs.
6 IN wild
Alright imagine this
You're fighting a mage they're about to do the alex pyro combo on you but you do THIS before they do the combo you will probably win.
Do this vs jade and you discard their auctioneer you probably win.
This is like Astral Communion ...you probably discard your whole hand after playing this but by turn 5 you'll have the quest done and 3/6 at turn 3 is not something to laugh at...it'll hold the board for 1-2 turns.
I actually like this.
Dirty Rat pulling out Wailing Felhound out at the wrong moment is something I expect to see in a future Trolden video. Another moment I expect to see is some poor Warlock player having their Wailing Felhound out while close to quest completion and seeing their opponent ping Wailing Felhound enough to complete their quest for them and have the luck to discard the quest reward. An interesting card, but once again it is a random discard.
this mmight sound weird but...this card actually gives me hope for Discolock....simply because this card is just so godawful that there HAS to be a reason for it. There HAS to be some synergy still unrevealed, maybe throught he Warlock DK that makes discard at least somewhat viable.
If that's not the case then I'll jsut have to accept that the people desinging the warlock cards are at the very least mentally handicapped.
On the other hand, so far none of the Deathknights and class legendaries had any real synergies with each other so chances are we're stucka t 8 classes once again
mill-lock is really gonna be interesting + treachery
It doesn't say 'discard a random card' it just says discard a card which I believe will be up to us to pick.
Read it one more time.
You discarded 5/6 cards for warlock quest and played Wailing Felhound, mage uses hero power and arcane missiles...
RIP Nether portal.
Buff Warlock Class [ ]
Discard Warlock Class [x]
Ok now I gonna guess warlock hero text(not hero power )
6 mana gain 5 armor
if you discard this card instantly play it
It's basically been confirmed by the leaks that Guldan Death Knight will be 10 mana

Hopefully the warlock dk can become the missing link to the discard/quest lock.
At least we have Treachery.
Warlock DK passive hero power: If you discard your whole deck, you win.
As many have said, it's hard to believe that Wailing Felhound can work because the risk of being pinged out of a hand is too high to make up for the reward of its high stats and potential discard synergies.
It does, however, have two advantages over all other discard effects - you don't pay the discard cost up front, and you can access it multiple times for your quest. The result is that you might be able to protect this guy long enough to get real discard value out of it. What I mean by that is that if you play this on turn three, for all subsequent turns you'll have all of your mana to play the other cards you before you incur a discard - maybe you can better whittle down your hand to only good discard targets before Wailing Felhound incurs damage.
So, despite the fact that it's probably just a bad card, it might be a fun thought experiment to find ways it might be played.
Honestly, that's all I could come up with, and none sound super practical. There are still several warlock cards to be revealed, and some may make discarding less punishing (maybe even the Gul'Dan Death Knight), so maybe we need more context to judge it. Right now, it seems intriguing but bad.
It's super clunky and situational, but I think it's worth mentioning that the Treachery combo is a hard counter to combo decks like Quest Mage. Play this combo lategame when you can set up several pings, force your opponent to discard combo pieces, gg. If Quest Mage or other combo decks become a huge part of the meta, this might actually be relevant.
