I have to agree altough you did over-do it with the amount of 3 drops in priest. Priest does have better ways to heal themselves although the fact that this is a minion that can potentially get you about 6-9 health and contest the board makes this minion very valuable against aggro, if aggro is capable of surviving this expantion.
Gluttonous Ooze is a tech card against aggro. Igneous Elemental is a card that SOMETIMES sees play in elemental deck (which is not popular on Priest). Both Curious Glimmerroot and Kabal Courier are most often seen as one-of in miracle/kazakus decks. Gluttonous Ooze is a tech card against aggro, and does not always see play. Igneous Elemental rarely sees play, even in the rarely played Elemental decks. Mirage Caller doesn't see much play right now, although it might if they introduce some good deathrattle. Stonehill Defender is also rarely seeing play in priest. Tar Creeper and Kabal Talonpriest are the only ones in there which I see often played in most priest decks.
Although I don't think this card will make a massive impact on the constructed meta because it's totally useless in the control mirror I think people massively underestimate the lifesteal mechanic against specifically aggro. I see your point that this card is similar to earthen ring farseer but I think it is far superior verses typical aggro decks. If they don't trade into it then you'll get at least 2 heals which is 6 health for three (insane compared to healbots 8 health for 5) but the big part that everyone misses is that if they trade into it although it only heals three you are forcing an aggro deck to trade essentially giving this card tauntand heal 3. The big difference between this and farseer is that aggro will just ignore your farseer and keep punching you in the face but forcing them to trade basically allows you to think about it as healing the difference (if they trade 3 dmg into it then that's 3 not going to your face, which they would have hit your face with had the minion been farseer, effectively healing you for 6 if you want to think that way). Again I don't think it's broken by any means and they do get to decide what minion to trade in but the lifesteal mechanic slows down aggro decks that don't have spell removal sooo much (as if zoolock wasn't dead enough already)
This card is not that bad. It has potential.
I still have hope for other priest cards. Make shadow priest great please. I am guessing a death knight priest should be related with shadow form.
again, I said make it great. It was never great. The community really wants shadow priest to be a thing. There are still cards that haven't revealed so I have hope.I wonder what the DK version of Anduin will be. With the healing effects going in I wonder if the priest will become a Health/benefit tradeoff. If that is the case this card isn't completely bad but it is a common so it was only going to be so good anyways
Just to defend Devour Mind, keep in mind Ben Brode specifically said they printed Purify because it's fun, not because it'd be viable in his apology for allowing Purify to be added to Hearthstone. So likely Devour Mind was meant for fun, not usefulness. But honestly, Devour Mind is a killer in a control meta which honestly, aggro is likely going to be dead after this expansion with all the lifesteal and defensive cards in this expansion. Heck, Pirate Warrior is already sitting at tier 2 despite being the fastest deck in HS with all the defensive cards you can easily drop in front of it. If I had to guess, Pirate Warrior is likely dead after this. Until everyone starts taking out their anti-aggro cards and then it'll rear its ugly head once more. Kinda like an annoying fly you just can't seem to kill.
As for the Legendary? Playing him will win you about 90% of your control games. Fatigue? Who cares? Big minions? Oh, look at all this extra control I have. Opponent controlling the board? Hey look, more big guys for me to drop. Against aggro he's a dead card, but again, I don't see aggro holding up too well against the insane amount of healing and control that's getting added to the game.
Boringgg. Make it neutral or at least 3/4. Waste of a design space.
Please tell me the last card for priest is a deathrattle... I mean c'mon the deathrattle quest class in a deathrattle expansion that only gets one, very slow deathrattle. I guess we'll be filling the deck with neutrals.
Amara: "You're safe now. You stopped playing priest cards."
this card 100% deserve to be 3/4.
Buff it NOW or make it neutral.
This as a 3/4? While I'm a Priest main, that'd be busted. We've already got loads of ways to heal it or buff its health. Plus, a lot of people underrate just how powerful lifesteal is. If this were any harder to kill, Priest's early game would be fixed with this singular card. Especially since the jump from 3 to 4 health is a actually a huge difference.
This feels like the worst name for a minion in the history of HS.
Agreed. I thought it was a better version of Acolyte of Pain. Not so much.
I don't know about that. It actually rolls off the tongue pretty well.
another shit card for priest
This Card is 100% Trash
Even the Shaman Elemental with 2/4 Taunt & 3 Heal is a way more better than this crap, overall there are SO many other better choices for the 3 Mana slot
Priest got so much packfillers, also the legendary is a biiiiig dissapointment, should be a neutral one just for fun matches, but not a class legendary.
Blizzard is so anonying with their strange Card decissions
