Get 2000 Arcane Dust? Blizzard Makes Up for Pity Timer Bug
Just over a week ago, Blizzard announced that there was an issue which led to some players getting one fewer Epic or Legendary card than they should have from packs. If you were hurt by this bug, you have been sent an email letting you know and 2000 dust has been credited to your account which will let you craft a Legendary card and an Epic card!
No idea what you should craft? You should save it for the upcoming Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion and either spend it on something that looks cool or use it a few days into it once we have a good idea what Legendaries are going to be solid.
No official post has yet been made on the resolution, and it's possible that dust hasn't been finished being distributed. We expect an official response shortly.

Quote from BlizzardGreetings,
Patch 8.4 for Hearthstone introduced new infrastructure to prepare for the recently announced improvements to card drop rates. As a side effect of this change, a small number of players who opened packs after the patch received one fewer Legendary or Epic card than they would have otherwise. We have identified you as one of those players, and we've given you 2000 Arcane Dust to use however you want!
Thank you for your continued support, and we'll see you at the Inn!
Hearthstone Team
And how did Blizzard exactly promote stupidity here?

Does the bug still hold or am i good to open packs?
I think it's been solved.
okay thank you (if anyone knows for sure pls comment as well)
Congrats to the winners! For me 43 packs of un`goro without legendary when problem was found, ended up getting another one after 53 packs and no 2000 dust, thank you blizzard for screwing me!
damn god i wanted that free 2k dust, i was gonna use it for Frost Lich Jaina or Sindragosa or Moorabi and for 1 epic Gnomeferatu or Obsidian Statue or Corpsetaker. But i was lucky to have from my packs 5-6 legendary drops.
ty that your care, but i will play elemental mage and freeze shaman, cuz i want to play those decks, and Sindragosa is just to haver her
Your allegations are based on nothing concrete, and the answer in the case provided is quite simple, if in the last opened 39/7 packs the person who opened 2 packs got no legendary/epic(to the numbers above accordingly), they've been affected by the bug, the person who opened the 30 card packs had a legendary in a pack before the 30, then that person won't be elligible for that 2k dust....
The demanding posture of the internet mob is frightening, wonder how many of those ppl with pitchforks would be gratefull & vocal about their gratefullness for getting something, when actually beeing affected by the bug itself...
And again, the answer is easy: 2000 Dust is fair because crafting 1 legendary & 1 epic = 2000 Dust, hell if you want to craft cho, you'll have to pay 1600 dust, if you disenchanted it for 400, your mistake.
Regarding your inquiry about the recent "new set bug" - you mean getting legendaries rin the first 10 packs regardless which expanson pack you've opened? Yes they have this data too, as they have the previous data, they'll solve it the only possible way, they'll fix the bug and let you keep your gained legendaries. Do you know why? Because that's how enterteinment business works, if you as a company fuck up and give something out, you cannot take it back, but if you fuck up, and prevent someone from getting something, you've got to compensate them, because if none of the above conditions are met, you'll loose your customer base quite quickly. Abusing this bug though, hate those practices, unfortunately, mostly unpunishable.
Mate i understand your point of view, it's not right though in my opinion. Worth of a product is based on what the price of a product is, in this case a legendary, not what you get when you sell one, in this case dust. If you want a cho (and yes, it may become viable someday) you need to get it for 1600 dust/currency, it's really a market based comparison that is applicable here, not opinions about something being worth something. If a shop sells something and it's not used wares where you can bargain, the opinion of a customer what the thing is worth when he will be selling it, doesen't matter, they've a set price and you've got to pay it to get the thing.
F.e. If you have an order incoming, you're due a product you ordered, if you're due that product, but because of the companies mistake you did not get it, should they return you retail value of that product or that what you would get when you sold it as an used ware?
So was the no duplicates rule already in place? if so i got one and no dust :(
What a pity i didnt get 2000 dust :/
Same here. I don't care for the dust , but this damn e-mail...
I opened 14 classic and blizz said first 10 guranteed 1 legendary and then yep nothing... no freaking legendary
i was quitting the game because of the new expansion and expensive card packs. but 2000 dust returned me to the game :D
I felt bad when after 40 something packs I opened my Lorewalker Cho,now i feel awesome, 2k dust is a lot better than the avarage legendary I would get, 2k dust instead of 400.Thanks blizzard :3
I opened packs regulary, I didn't get anything, feelsbadman:(
I'm disappointed to see that I paid 50 bux and got 2 legendaries from opened packs and even didn't get dust.
