Get 2000 Arcane Dust? Blizzard Makes Up for Pity Timer Bug
Just over a week ago, Blizzard announced that there was an issue which led to some players getting one fewer Epic or Legendary card than they should have from packs. If you were hurt by this bug, you have been sent an email letting you know and 2000 dust has been credited to your account which will let you craft a Legendary card and an Epic card!
No idea what you should craft? You should save it for the upcoming Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion and either spend it on something that looks cool or use it a few days into it once we have a good idea what Legendaries are going to be solid.
No official post has yet been made on the resolution, and it's possible that dust hasn't been finished being distributed. We expect an official response shortly.

Quote from BlizzardGreetings,
Patch 8.4 for Hearthstone introduced new infrastructure to prepare for the recently announced improvements to card drop rates. As a side effect of this change, a small number of players who opened packs after the patch received one fewer Legendary or Epic card than they would have otherwise. We have identified you as one of those players, and we've given you 2000 Arcane Dust to use however you want!
Thank you for your continued support, and we'll see you at the Inn!

The pity timer is 1 Legendary per 40 packs and somewhere around 1 Epic per 10 packs, so you're well within the limits.
As a PSA to everyone:
Blizzard is sending out emails informing whether you were one of the players effected by the Pity Timer bug.
If you did not receive this email, then you were not one of the players effected. They are giving the dust to those who should have gotten a legendary and epic but didn't because of the bug, hence why the dust is 2000.
Hi!, I knw you're not a Blizzard employee xD, but, I opened 55 un'goro packs and recieved only one legendary. Is it normal? cause i've reaad that the pitty number was 1 in 20 packs one legendary. Thx mate!
Yes that is normal. That's called bad RNG. 1 in 20 packs for a Legendary is the average, with about 40 packs being the maximum before you're guaranteed one.
It's 1 in 40
Thx for the quick responding! I assumed that, I hope I have more luck in the next expansion. Is very frustrating , playing since goblings and gnomes, and i don't have all the classic cards collection xD
Why so many down votes lul hahahaha
I oppened over 40 classic packs and got no legendaries. Where is my dust blizzard.
Opening packs is my favorite thing to do in this game, but mainly because I save up all of my packs so my gf and I can open them all up together and (hopefully) get legendaries. It's been a little depressing lately as it just seems like I wasn't able to get any, but it's nice to know that there was an actual reason why
This is totally unfair. I think I was affected by this bug with about 15 packs opened and not even an epic
If you were, Blizzard would've sent you an email. I was one of the players effected by the bug and got an email informing me that I got 2000 dust.
i got the dust but opened like 50 packs with no ledge so im getting screwed
I'm pretty sure this bug existed at the start of un'goro, I counted all my packs and it took over 40 packs to get my first legend. (52 to be exact)
I'd like to note I also did not get dust from this.
If you did not get dust, then you were not effected by the bug. You would've gotten an email if you were effected.
How would one know if they were affected, aside from, y'know, actually logging in? Or is it ambiguously worded on purpose?
If you were affected by the bug, you would've gotten an email from Blizzard telling you that you were.
Blizz can tell you. They can monitor a lot of stuff on their end the player can't see. They're probably secretive about it so unsavory types can't abuse the info to cheat/hack the system.
2k isn't enough should of got 4k i bought like 50 packs
It is not for everyone right? Damn I will be depressed for nt getting that sweet dust :c
Or i dont know if I was affected, why Blizzard doesnt post anything about it?
