Sylicas is cutting into your job, Fluxflashor; you gonna stand for that? hehe :^)
On average, a 2 mana card draw should draw you 1.5 cards, so we want to know the number of Deathrattle cards your deck has to have to achieve at least that much value on average. Now, recall, if you will, the sum of a geometric series:
1/(1-r) = 1 + r + r^2 + r^3 + ... => 1.5 = 1/(1-r) => 1.5 - 1.5r = 1 => r = 1/3 => 1/3*30 = 10.
So in order for this to get average value, your deck needs to contain at least 10 Deathrattle cards.
Huzzah, math!
Thank you for doing what I was too lazy to do. Since 10 deathrattles seems pretty easy to accomplish in any sort of deathrattle hybrid deck, it seems like this card could be played if more card draw is needed.
However, of course the real benefits of this card would come from running mainly a deathrattle deck with the usual variety of spells that rogue uses to try and break the chain. If we say for example the deck would run 20 deathrattles, then unless I messed up the math somewhere, you would on average draw 2 cards each time you cast this card, but you have a higher probability of drawing too much and milling yourself.
Regardless, seems like a really fun card to play with!
It makes total sense, because 10 is the magic number I use for Dragon and Elemental synergies as well.
Actually, it's 11, due to the fact that drawing a DR minion decreases the value of "r".
And for those curious, to reach "draw 2 cards on average", you need 15-16 DR cards.
only in wild buddy
This in jade rogue is pretty good. Sherazin, Corpse Flower , Aya Blackpaw , Jade Swarmer .Maybe Undercity Huckster and Bloodmage Thalnos
who and why plays sherazin in jade rogue?
I do, for the lol of having like 3-4 of them at a time. Shadowcaster and N'zoth work well with her.
It's not something I'd suggest but it's not something I wouldn't expect thats all haha
Hmmm.... is every class getting "Cast it again" effects this go around? That would make an awesome cycle, though I really have to wonder what the others would be.
Warrior - Hold the Barricade: Gain 2 Armor. If your effective health is lower than your opponent's, cast this again.
Paladin - Refuse to Yield - Reduce an enemy minion with the highest Attack's Attack to 1. If your opponent controls a minion with more than 1 Attack, cast this again.
Shaman - Here Comes the Voodoo - Summon a random basic totem. If it wasn't the totem you needed for this exact situation, cast this again.
Hunter - Unleash the Hounds - Summon a 1/1 Hound with Charge. If your opponent controls more minions than you, cast this again.
That's actually worse than proper Unleash the Hounds.
That's why it's funny.
You can't play proper Unleash the Hounds in an empty board.
Its a good cars, but there are not enough good rougue deathrattles right now to make this work, but 2 mana draw a card in a deck that likes drawing cards is ok, but is it good enough? Ill reserve judgment untuil the whole set is released but my guess is no, beacuse you would need alot of really good deathrattles for this to be better than miricle, and theres no merging the 2 concepts. Seems just a little too weak.
There's too many good deathrattles...
and they don't have to be rouge.
Or standard.
Cool card but pretty weak. Yes it's far cheaper than Wrathion but rogue decks are usually at least half spells. So realistically we're talking about a 70/30 2 mana draw 1 or 2 mana draw 2. That's before we even get to deathrattles that are actually good... maybe jade swarmer etc.
This doesn't fit very well with the rogue DK either.
Saying all that, loads of cards still to be released!
Okay, so I have done the maths and if you have exactly 5 non-deathrattle cards in your deck (including this, out of 30) and you play this on turn 2 (or turn 1 with the coin), you maximise you chance of drawing 6 cards and ending with 9 cards in hand.
The great thing is, given that 'expected' turn 2 i'm not even sure the deck would be bad
Lol @ the people comparing this to Wrathion. Similar ability sure, but 6 mana minion versus a 2 mana spell is a big difference.
I like this card. Not sure if it will make the final cut in most lists, but it will be fun to sometimes get those 2-3 draws. Solid design imo.
