I honestly don't think this card should exist...
neither should Jade Idol ^.^
This card is broken, even if this effect was on a legendary, this card has way too powerful an effect. Yes, I would love to be able to stop Jade Druid from getting out of control, but I think this is the wrong way of going about it. You can just make sure your deck doesn't have any 1 cost spells (except maybe your own quest?), and then it's effect doesn't even have an impact on you. Now I know some people are going to say "Look at the Jade Druid player complaining about a counter to his main deck", but I actually (try to) play this game for fun, so I make decks that are fun to play, instead of decks just to rank up during the season. Though I will admit, if this isn't changed, waiting for the day someone plays this against a Warrior that just played Explore Un'Goro
Any, I like this card for being a counter to Jade Druid, but I still feel like Blizzard should change this card before release, as at the moment, I feel like the effect is way too powerful. You even have decent stats with the minion, so you're not losing much tempo either. I feel like the card should be more like "Battlecry: Discover a 1-cost spell from both players decks, destroy all copies of that card in both hands and decks." At least that way it can only hit a single card and any copies of it, instead of just all the 1-cost spells. My boy Gazlowe currently weeps at the thought of this card coming into existence.

they always fix mistakes by bigger mistakes
the card is bad, but not as bad, mainly 2 decks will play this card, Control Priest, and Control Warrior
Paladin always had an answer, Aggro decks go face they dont care about Jades size, and Mage wont have room in the deck to fit this card
so it wont be as bad as you imagine
I can see your point after reading the comments on this thread, guess I just saw the card and thought about how it affected my decks :P Now that I've had time to think, and after reading your comment, yeah, I don't see many people actively playing this card, except maybe a one off in case of Jade Druid of course

I've played the hell out of some Jade Druid, and I'm still currently doing so. Hundreds of matches.
But every deck has to answer for its sins someday. Your time has come, Jade Idol. Take it like a Jade; don't make this difficult.
a great tech card that be concidered in some control decks, messing up priests madness potions and power word shields, evolve shamans and the most powerfull jade druid deck.... i like the card!
Hopefully this card becomes a "Okay this is exists now, let's all agree to not play jade druid anymore."
If this card becomes widespread it can screw over other classes terribly. Let's hope jade druid falls off the face of the earth and we can cut this card from decks. Honestly, I would have prefered a straight nerf to idol, eliminating it's infinite potential.
This card punishes Hallucinations, journeys, whirlwind, shield, fire, scales etc. Just mean to classes not running idol.
It's forcing people to try completely new decks, which I think was the point.

My second thought also. Two of my most hated decks to play against have been terminated.
At last i can play CONTROL WARRIOR again in 2k17!Although Jade druid was one of my favorite archetypes and Druid 2nd favorite class,i cant express how much i love CW and how much i miss it at the same time!
Shield slam is also 1-cost, man
As is whirlwind
You have Dead mans hand to refill for better removals,like executes and brawls.Also Gorehowl is a thing if Cw comes back.You dont have to rely that much on Shield slam..Jade Druid was the only deck that made all control decks dissapear,and now you can play against it.
And CW usually relies on half/half,big removals/big minions that help remove things or either find a finisher like Grommash.
This card is insanely meta defining. The biggest nerf is obviously to Jade druid with Jade Idol and Earthen Scales.
This also will be a decent nerf to the survivability of Ramp, but they printed more cards to help with that so we will see how that goes.
This also Nerf's Silence Inner Fire priest's mid/late game potential.
This comes out on the same turn as Evolve Shaman's dopple combo.
Jade and Miracle slightly affected, with Journey Below and Hallucination.
It's to slow for Pirate warrior upgrade sabotaging, but It can be a decent tool against Aggro Druids, Mark of the Lotus + Living Mana Combo
The classes that won't suffer to much from this will be Hunter, Mage, Paladin (other than Quest paladin) and barely warlock.
