- You can never have more than one Shadow Reflection in your hand.
- Shadow Reflection leaves your hand at the end of your turn, so it only works on 5 mana cards or less. (Source)
- Effects that invoke Mana Cost reduction will not be copied by Shadow Reflection. (Like Emperor Thaurissan ticks, Preparation, Shadowstep.)
- Remember how Stealth works! If you wish to attack, do attack BEFORE using this Hero card.

This card issuper confusing with its mechanics
Auctionmaster Beardo + Preparation + This Hero Power + Poisoned Blade = infinite damage?
It's a PASSIVE hero power
No, you have one (1) Shadow reflection that changes to Preparation.
No it's a passive ability , you can't cast the hero power
And Preparation does not discount Hero Card 'cause it's not a Spell.

The hero power reminds me of Chromaggus. A value oriented card that allows the player to bypass deckbuilding limitations. Granted, from the times of BRM these card generation cards have become more common. Which in turn gives this card an extra potential upside (highrolling people with their class generated cards), along the obvious one: you can choose which card to duplicate. Flavor-wise this goes alongside Shadowcaster and Shadowstep . The potential of the card reinforces the idea of rogue being a Control Killer. Sadly, it just costs too much to make much of an impact against faster decks. On another note while the Battlecry should buy the rogue a turn, it is a fairly underwhelming effect. Your opponent can develop on board using his 9-10 mana, Rogues unlike Mages have no good AoE, and unlike Ice Block you won't have enough mana to squeeze in burn or card draw to use the extra turn effectively. Summarizing, this card feels like it costs 2-3 mana more than it should. From what I remember, Blizzard says they work 2 expansions in advance, which if they predicted quest rogue meta explains to an extent why this card is so expensive. At 6-7 Mana It would be an Iceblock + 1 mana 5/5 Charge. Maybe there is something almost as busted in the expansion we could see the card seeing a lot of play in competitive.
Im still bummed but thank you for helping me understand why this is.
If they load up the board after you turn into Valeera the Hollow you could counter with Vanish, though that would only leave you with 4 mana to do something. Arcane Giant like the demonstration video would be one idea to do on that turn however.
Won't work
You Vanish the turn you come out of Stealth. Why wouldn't it work?
GREAT for MILL! Vanish or Sap Cycle EVERY TURN OP!
Turn 9 - Play this
Opponent develops board... but cant attack you...
Turn 10 - Vanish to clear board and get another copy of vanish in hand... then you can cycle vanish until they burn there entire deck.. (they will need burn or charge to kill you... as nothing will ever stick to the board.
and since your mill.. you will get them to fatigue way faster.
Weak vs Infinite Decks (Warrior/Jade Druid/Steal your Deck Priest)
Copied Vanish leaves your hand at the end of turn.
Won't work. the reflection resets each turn.
read the card. you def can't cycle vanish
Rogue is always unique i love it.
Everyone are talking about quest rogue. But hey! WILD MILLROGUE! Amazing card.
Guys please understand how the mechanic works...It doesnt copy on the first card played.Whenever you keep playing cards the reflection will keep transforming into your last played card.It wont transform in the first played card and stay there until you play it.
