Shaman Death Knight Revealed - Thrall, Deathseer
A new Death Knight has been revealed and it's Thrall! Some serious evolving going on there. The hero was revealed on Tempo Storm.

They will be. I think, Mike Donais said it. But most of Deathknights require special deck around them. This one doesn't, tho. It's just a solid stand alone card. And you get rid of those pesky totems.
For example, if you have no elementals in your deck, giving them lifesteal with DK Jaina is really clunky. Relying only on your ping killing things is really bad idea. Also you doing almost nothing on turn 9 then. So yeah...
Hunter DK needs a really slow card set. While on normal draft you are going for aggro-type. So if you didn't get Hero Card on first 5 picks, you are kinda going sideways.
I like the Battlecry. But the Heropower seems to be not that useful, as you need to develop a board for Envolve. Only directly after playing Thrall it could be interesting to boost minos up by 3.
Boring. I wish they had thought of something new instead of reusing a mechanic that is over a year old.
So basically token shaman, which already is high tier is made god tier....
Free trade for minions and then fully heal it towards an even more powerful minion for only 2 mana.

why is this so cheap ?
its 2 evolves worth 2 mana
heal 5 worth maybe around 2 mana
and replace hero power with something awesome which has to be worth more than 1 ?
Iron hide 1 mana
x2 evolve 2 mana
so hero power is 2 mana worth
evolve 2 mana x 2 = 4 mana
5 armor = 2 mana
hero power upgrade ~0.5 mana (this is not that strong, in fact)
cost of having to play a card to get it = -1
total value: ~5.5 mana
nope:
formula to draw is 2 mana * cards drawn,
but ALL cards cost 1 mana less than they "should"
when making the calculations just add +1 mana for each card used in order to transform the "card" value into the "effect" value
best example is tinyfin: summoning a 1/1 "should" cost 1, but as you're wasting a card to do it it costs 0

Only two I'm looking forward to are Anduin and Valeera. The others have to massively wow me to get me excited, but I just love the design on those two.

This feels a little like a "win-more" card, but the outrageous pressure that the battlecry gives plus its overall low cost means it'll probably be very good. The hero power is a lot worse in topdeck wars than the normal Totem power though.

but here's a buff to evolve shaman.
waiting for Doppelgangster Evolve into random 6 drops, then next turn Thrall, Deathseer for 3 Tirion Fordring
the actual card itself, 5 mana double evolve gain 5 armor, even without the hero power is playable and is pretty good
but with that broken ass hero power, it's insane
imagine this scenerio
Doppelgangster Thrall, Deathseer 3 random 7 drops
trades with opponenet:
ie. your Baron Geddon attacks enemy Druid of the Claw with +2 health and taunt
oh boy, your Baron Geddon is now a 7/1, what do you do? you evolve it with your damn hero power for a full restore and a stronger minion.
how is that even fair compared to the other class death knights?

Evolve shaman is already strong and this makes him evene stronger. Definitely gonna craft it. Btw rip freeze shaman
This hero card reminds me when I evolve minions into any powerful stuff, and then opponent play brawl following shield slam. Nothing left after that.
If this card will be meta, let's see the control warrior.
