Tirion alone makes this card viable but I bet there are more Divine Shield cards incoming.
This should be a commercial for some Warcraft-Themed chewing gum.
'Fresh breath Commander - Divine flavor'
This card is great in Handbuff
I just don't understand why the stats are so low when there are cards like Arcanologist existing.
But Arcanologist guarantees you to fit on your curve. You would drop this on turn 3
because Arcanologist only draws 3 mana cards at a maximum that represents a tempo loss when played, this on the other hand, draws Tirion Fordring and Wickerflame Burnbristle, youc an even ahve tirion as your only divine shield and you'll basically guarantee aturn 8 Tirion in 80% of your matches.
Arcanologist draws a 3 mana card. Howling Commander can draw Tirion.
Arcanologist only draws Secrets (of which, most of the Mage secrets are garbage; you almost exclusively use it for Ice Block).
Howling Commander can draw any Divine Shield minion, including Tirion Fordring, and that alone makes it stupidly good.
For Divine Shield decks, it's essentially "draw a minion".
Wish he had divine shield himself, he will probably still be good though because paladin is still missing a good 3 drop
also I hope that means we will get a good 4mana divine shield minion to go with it
Very bad IMHO. Super weak statlines, plus, so far i think i will only run Tirion and Burnbristle (new Bolvar sucks). And i don't want to draw them too early because of the new OP epic that gains multiple effects. Of course i'll be glad to take everything back if the divine shield deck will end up being strong
you'd want tod raw them earlier because deck thinning is a thing...but dw, you'll eventually stop being a noob and learn about the importance of deck thinning ^^..
Only thin thing i see is your brain man. Come here in a month time, we'll see who was right. Drop 3 is for stonehill defender (3 tirion is better than one), peacekeeper and maybe acolyte. They still have to reveal many cards, so the divine shield paladin may end up being strong, but so far with what we know and the current archetypes, this card would see no play. Has your tiny brain considered that despite a great artwork Tirion in simply gonna sit in your hand for the next 5 turns? That a 1/4 taunt is much better than a 2/2? That one of the best cards revealed so far is corpsewalker and this card reduce its power by a lot? No? Don't worry, eventually one day you'll stop being a noob ;)
the only one with a tiny brain is you, you are thinking this is a card for a divine shield archetype?, no my dear massive idiot, this card is a tutor, even if tirion would be dead in your hand it means you won't have to draw him later making youd rawing your early game and your removal easier and more likely
...and falling behind the board miserably vs aggro. But who cares when you have Tirion in hand? You may lose, but who cares when you can look at his magnificent artwork?
Also,if like you said we'll have no divine shield archetype this card will be even worst than it looks now. But professor said is good, so it must be. Curious to know what a supreme genius like you would cut out for it. Also curious what are you gonna do with them when you'll draw your tirion and burnbristle before them (it will happen, more often than you can think).
Third and last point: call me whatever you feel like, i'm grown up enough to not give a s**t of what random people says on forums. Have a nice day :)
Insane arena card.
Even if there was something like that it would be stated as give a divine shield to your hero, so no actual synergy with this card. But interesting idea.
Should be read as: "Battlecry: Draw Tirion from your deck".
If it's like that, it won't see play... No reason to have the card only because one card...
