Should have been a Naxx card.
Wait...
I feel that this card could find a home in handbuff paladin.
It's exactly wjat handbuff paladin needed! Something to deal with his opponent's spells since handbuff paladin will undoubtedly dominate the board.
I think 5 mana might have been justifiable as well since it increases the mana cost of both players. It seems to be good against mage but if he just played Medivh, the Guardian and has Atiesh equiped this card might backfire
it stops turn 7 flame strike, but still not sure if i want to run this in an aggro deck , 6 mana is not cheap, and its a dead draw early game
This should have been 5 mana; I don't see any reason why the mutually negative trait would warrant a cost increase; Given its prohibitive cost, it seems more like "Eater of Secrets," a card that has high theoretical value, but not as much in practice VS "Loatheb," who is always good.
buy you a turn
cut down opponent a damage
what could be better?
If played on curve by an aggro or midrange deck, it's a killer, it saves the board against every midgame clear in the game, so then you go for lethal. It can become an autoinclude in a control meta.
They could have done better with a Loatheb type effect, but it's not a bad card. Any removal on it will cost 2 more, so it's a good tempo play. It's going to be dead in hand too much to be viable on ladder. Doesn't do anything about a Shaman's board or a Pirate onslaught, so no good for constructed.
may be 6 mana is too much for its stats and its just 5 health,
however it can be used to block mage turn 7 flamestrike and blizzard. also block turn 6 paladin steed nightmare where u must clear the board or get fucked by it. and it hard counter rouge that relay on taking tempo by using low cost spell and block auctioneer turn. it may also used to deny lethal from ure opponent hand.
this card seems very good in constructed and may also stop mage and rouge madness in arena. i think this card is very good may be not as good as Loatheb but it will see some play in minions based deck and in control/midrange decks
Hard counter to Counterfeit Coin lol
balanced and bad version of loatheb(we cant cast either) but if u put this in your deck u'll always face pirate warrior so idk
Absolutely useless card against fast decks and way worse than loatheb , nobody will play this I guess (ability affects two players , big disadvantage compare to loatheb)
YASSS
I don't care if it isn't the best stats for a 6-drop. My favorite card in Hearthstone's history was Loatheb, and while this isn't as crippling as Loath was and it affects you as well, it is an excellent tech card, especially against Mage. Honestly, who played Loatheb for the stats? The tech is where it's at!
I like the art a lot, and the effect might actually be pretty solid. I know it's a bit over costed but realistically it's a persistent effect and can be stacked. Imagine copying this with Faceless or that new guy, or some other way, you could essentially lock spells out. Couple that with Mana Wraiths and such, at some point in the distant future there might actually be a Hearthstone STAX deck, where you just lock the game out with cost increasing effects and the like... At least that's my dream ;_;
Why have this to be 6 Mana? Even for 5 Mana the stats could be too weak.
It is like a new "weaker" Loatheb that last longer - and is way overcosted. :*(
I would love this card so hard, if it has a lower mana cost or better stats.
5/5 for 5 mana is weak.
Primordial Glyph nerf confirmed xD
You can use it to delay expensive board clears too (like Flamestrike), by a turn if they can remove it with single target removal, and by two turns otherwise. That should be game winning in a lot of situations if you're ahead.
At six mana for a 5/5 I don't see this card getting much play. This card needed to be 5 mana to be viable. At four mana it would be too good and at six mana it's not good enough.
