The Caverns Below will require that Rogues now play five minions with the same name. Finally?

Nerf Announcement
Quote from KeganbeIn an upcoming update, we will be making a balance change to the Rogue card: The Caverns Below.
The Caverns Below now reads: Quest: Play five minions with the same name. Reward: Crystal Core.
Since the release of Journey to Un'Goro, Hearthstone has enjoyed a wider variety of competitively viable classes and decks than ever before. We’ve been monitoring overall gameplay, and we’ve decided that—even though everything is varied and many decks are viable—a change to The Caverns Below is still warranted.
The Caverns Below is uniquely powerful versus several slower, control-oriented decks and played often enough that it’s pushing those decks out of play. This change should help expand the deck options available to players both now and after the release of the next expansion.

Well said sir, you just wrecked the guy with this single argument.
A nerf (or lack of one) is not validation of anybody's opinion. Blizzard didn't like the quest as it was because it was effectively preventing an entire deck archetype of deck from competing. Not because it wasn't balanced as it was.
For the record, I felt the quest condition was fine - it was the reward that was unbalanced, and not because 5/5 is too much; because it was not subject to most removal in the game.
Dust it up bro!
I opened two Rogue quests from packs, held onto the second in case this happened. Sneaking in that 3200 dust before the no-duplicate-legendary change :D
The only way you could hold on to two is if one was a gold copy. You can only have one copy of each legendary card. I would have forced you to turn the second one into dust.
If you don't use the disenchant button you can have 20 legendaries with the same name for all that matters, there's no feature that forces you to disenchant.
Might as well nerf Fire Plume's Heart too and accept that quests are a bad mechanic for Hearthstone.
The other great thing about this one minor change is how it will slightly change the meta between the nerf and the next expansion. Good times.
Again. Another card will be nerfed and become unplayable, not because it's harder to complete, but because aggro will defeat quest rogue even more easily.
It will be still played and still very very good...but I am glad they finally announced it
Good fucking riddance.
Two months! Late. I'm out.
rip quest rogues players :D
This needs more attention.
It does seem questionable, given that one of the likely outcomes of this is more Jade Druid suppressing the same slower decks that the nerf is intended to save.
