The Caverns Below will require that Rogues now play five minions with the same name. Finally?
In addition to this upcoming change, Ben Brode and Mike Donais will be holding a live Q&A this Friday, June 30 at 10:30 AM PDT (1:30 PM EDT, 7:30 PM CEST) on the PlayHearthstone Twitch.

Nerf Announcement
Quote from KeganbeIn an upcoming update, we will be making a balance change to the Rogue card: The Caverns Below.
The Caverns Below now reads: Quest: Play five minions with the same name. Reward: Crystal Core.
Since the release of Journey to Un'Goro, Hearthstone has enjoyed a wider variety of competitively viable classes and decks than ever before. We’ve been monitoring overall gameplay, and we’ve decided that—even though everything is varied and many decks are viable—a change to The Caverns Below is still warranted.
The Caverns Below is uniquely powerful versus several slower, control-oriented decks and played often enough that it’s pushing those decks out of play. This change should help expand the deck options available to players both now and after the release of the next expansion.

It's the card draw you fight harder now, not just the one extra turn.
LUL that was unexpected
well, that's a relief, maybe it also has the side effect of reducing the amount of aggro decks in the meta (which ran rampant because they were the only thing to actually beat quest rogue consistently)
although, at this point in the meta I think Mage is a far bigger problem in the long run
Dust! Thanks!
No nerf for the class which rules at the end of each expansion cycle, shaman?
Yes but its about how it is right now. And Shaman is again King, this time its Evolve/Token Shaman
5 cards still too easy to pull off on turn 4. should've change it to 6 cards.
the problem of Rogue Quest was it can be completed by not using the class (bounce) mechanic.
which none of the another classes can get around it.
It's obvious you never played Quest Rogue. It's a big difference between playing 4 minions with the same name and playing 5. And this difference is gonna make Quest Rogue unplayable, at least at high ranks.
The nerf should have been on minion stats in my opinion, so it stays playable but is more vulnerable to aoe and in general.
As some people suggested, the quest should be 'unpreppable', like a minion or something. The most annoying thing about quest rogues is when they prep the quest then proceed to fill the board with 5/5s
I don't like play with myself that much.
I have played 73 games in last 2 days - 1 quest rogue. Who even plays quest rogue anymore? Gets wrecked by all tier 1 decks.
Agreed, I never see it anymore. I couldn't tell you the last time I played Quest Rogue, much less lost to one.
It has a fair chance against any deck given the right draw
Really, Blizzard? This is stupid nerf. They can still get the quest done quick. I say 6 cards with the same name!
Oh, so another player who never played the deck or doesn't understand it but complains about it
Only 3 months later after all the havoc that ungodly quest has unleashed: GG...That HS team is clueless and worth crap.
Holy shit Hearthpwn really has the most childish community
aaaaaw you make me feel bad :(
