May 20th is Free Card Day! Login and Get Fight Promoter for Free
As previously datamined by us in the recent patch, you can login this Saturday, May 20th, to get yourself a free Fight Promoter.
Quote from BlizzardYeah, we can get you a card. Really! Log in to Hearthstone on Saturday, May 20, to get a Fight Promoter card for free!
No catch, just a free card--so don’t miss out.
We’ll see you in the tavern!
Pretty bad promotion if the information doesn't actually get to the players. Normally I log on every day, this weekend I decided to take some time off HS. And now I find I missed out on a free epic (which I didn't have and hoped to get). Super big marketing success - punish everyone who isn't following every bit of HS news every single day of the year...
why bliz didn't get for me Weasel Tunneler To say this is a free card please dust it off !!!
i love u all " Marketing department bliz " pls used ur brain if u all have =))
-why bliz didn't +Why didn't blizz

And this horrid English turns into this:
Why didn't blizz give me Weasel Tunneler instead. Even though this is a free card, just dust it !!!
I love you all "Marketing Department", but please use your brain if you have any =))
Your welcome. :)
Could have been golden like golden Volcanosaur... or a random quest for everyone? :D
Anyways, thanks Blizzard, but next time fix actual problems, it'd have better reception.
Yay! Free rare!
Epic :p
They gave us a rare of our choice, yay.
I swear you guys are a bunch of killjoys. It's just a free card that Blizzard doesn't have to give us. Just take it (or the 100 Dust instead) and move on.
If Blizzard doesn't kill my interest in this game, this community will.
For the very fact you used the term "Autistic screehers" to try to bolster your argument expresses to me your level of maturity, and as a result caused me to disregard the content of your post regardless of whether or not I agreed with your stance on Blizzard & this free card.
False, people with real brains already know that the people who will defend Blizzard don't care about the state of the game for high level players and they aren't "only doing this so they don't have to actually do changes that would be good for the game itself but not as profitable", they won't have to do that anyway, because that's not where the money comes from, it's just a ploy to get the masses to buy more packs just because they got a free epic.
Even if they hadn't done this there would be close to zero pressure from the average player to have the game changed for the better, those people will still play and the people who quit won't be reflected by the profit charts, it's just a marketing ploy to get more new players to buy more packs. Your assessment while adequately cynical is too focused on the existing, dedicated playerbase and not enough on marketing and market share expansion.
Nice back-pedaling there when I call you out on your flippant use of an intentionally insulting term. Sorry, but opposing the baseless spread of hate, even if you're 'joking', is not a sign of any abnormal issue or complex at all, but is called being respectful and in more formal settings would be professional. If you ever worked with children or families you would understand the immaturity of trying to get laughs from a memey joke more standard for a stereotypical 'hurr duur' teenager.
Thanks for the 100 Dust,Blizzard.
In the vacuum that is Blizztards asshole's marketing department they just lost over $105,000,000 dollars in profit by giving away this one card 4 free to over 70 million accounts since it would take about 10 packs on average to craft this one card. However, in reality 0 meta decks in the past, present, and future will run this card so Blizzard has lost 0 dollars in profit.
Your generosity Blizzard is only surpassed by your own greed.
Your thought process boggles me, It's free dust, just breath.
They are a company, it's good marketing strategy, just recognize it and move on. Or are you from one of those post-communist countries which believe that the state and its institutions should provide for everything, free of charge so everyone is equal?
Companies are designed first and foremost to make a profit, if it's not profitable then Blizzard would stop development on HS and then maybe you'd be happy? Don't get me wrong, I don't see Blizz as a generous company at all and the game is still P2W af but I don't see anything inherently wrong with that, if you don't like it, stop playing, it's not like they are the government cutting off your unemployment benefits so you actually have to get out of your basement, get a university education and find an actual job so that buying 100 packs becomes literally pocket change to you.
HS was never designed to be a competitive game and if you think that the "esports" ( LUL ) scene is to be taken as seriously as games designed for competition such as CS or DotA you are deluding yourself. Blizzard's market is the casual gamer as evidenced by their other releases such as HotS, WoW and Overwatch, SC2 is the exception to the rule, and their main source of income will always be the casual gamer.
If you are going to stop playing this stupid children's card game over a marketing ploy that doesn't even apply to you, then at least get your math and facts right, an average pack contains around 98 dust, not 40, so it will take about 4-5 packs to craft this worthless card that will never see play.
Or do you just really hate capitalism Mr Kim?
Free stuff is meh, just make purchasing better. Like doubling the number of cards in packs, or giving away legendaries and epics when you spend real money. or both
packs cost 2.99 and the RNG literally kills you but hey...100 dust its 100 dust
Sweet I only have one in my collection. Thanks Blizzard!
This card is so bad it never found a place in any even semi-serious deck. It has no meme potential and its entrance animation is non-existent. Blizzard came up with this lovely idea of a Free Card Event and then gave us 100 dust. That's like giving a beggar a pile of notes just to make them realise that except the top note, the rest is Monopoly money.
I appreciate the 100 free dust but there's no way to be excited about this gift. Blizzard lost a chance to get people really keen. Now there's the risk that further "free stuff" events will immediately be welcomed as "meh".
