The Hearthstone Global Games - Week 2
The Global Games group stage returns this week! Starting this Tuesday at 10 AM CEST (4 AM EDT), we'll see several new teams competing that didn't get to play last week and some old faces will return as well throughout the 4 days of play.
In the Global Games, 48 countries will face off against each other as teams of four, with each team consisting of their nations top HCT point earner and three members voted on by the community. To check out which players will represent your country you can check out the official website.
The Complete Format for the Global Games
- All three phases will use a best-of-five, class vs. class format with nine unique classes per team.
- Each player on the team will have two classes they are able to play.
- The ninth class will be designated as the “Ace Deck” and may be used for game five instead of previously un-selected decks of the “Ace Player”.

Good luck to all my Slovakian friends today. I would really like to cast it, but i am at work. Crush em!
How such a big event we dont get to choose the team and the Collegiate National Championship we get to choose a team and get up to (3) Mean Streets of Gadgetzan packs? Blizzard logic..
We did get a pack for voting for the players that are currently participating in the tournament. This caused quite a lot of drama on the German vote.
I was U.S. so I could only vote for my country, but I still got packs from it.
The 9 best players from each country was up for vote. you could vote for a person in your country, and we did get a pack for voting :)
Two mistakes in this article. Mexico will only be playing against Poland on Wednesday. Also, the final match of the week (Kazakhstan vs Malaysia) takes place after the Thailand vs Peru match on April 20th (EDT), not 24 hours after it.

NA and EU blogs are giving different information. :S Well, you can't always have consistency...
I noticed, but the info on the EU blog make much more sense if you think about it. HS Reddit is going by it as well.
So Mexico plays twice in one day... interesting.
Also, NED v USA is gonna be insane
This is shaping up to be my favorite Hearthstone tournament ever!
I too love it, I think it's because the meta has not settled and thus there is a huge variate of decks in play.
