Blizzard: "Journey to Un'Goro Card Distribution is Working Properly"
In a statement issued on the Battle.net forums by Daxxarri, Blizzard has addressed the recent community concerns regarding card distribution and has clarified that card distribution is working properly.
Quote from BlizzardWe have seen a number of posts from our community today regarding Journey to Un'Goro packs and the possibility that they might be distributing an abnormally high amount of duplicate cards. We want to assure everyone that we have looked into this concern and have found that Journey to Un'Goro card distribution is working properly, both at a per card and per rarity basis, and is consistent with previous Hearthstone releases.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We really do appreciate all the feedback, even when related to possible bugs or concerns around the game.
38 packs, 1 legendary (Clutchmother Zavas and almost all new Warlock cards) EU server.
When gadgetzan launched, got 2 or 3 legendarys in same amount of packs...
24 packs, 0 legendaries, 6 apics and 3 equals -.- blizzard please
Opened 21 packs, no legendaries (Still managef top craft three with my dust) and like 5 epics, none of them were duplicates.
Well said as someone who pulled 6 legendaries over 57 packs, I got 2 legendaries in 93 packs :)
In 59 packs I got 2 and one was in my last pack
You're kind of a dick if you're telling people they should not complain if you just got 6 legendaries in 57 packs yourself.
It's very difficult for you to spend your money so I came back with so many repeated cards !!
80 packs,3 legendaries sunkeeper tarim,Druid legendary,Warrior Legendary.No quest :( and opened 16 tiger which is 8/2 stealth :(
I feel that Blizzard's attitude is perfectly fine. However, their stance on duplicates should be re-evaluated to see if it matches up with their value of making hearthstone a Free-to-play (F2P) game. Furthermore, I believe that it runs counter to deck diversity. The real problem will be felt after next expansion.
I think there are problems in Hearthstone that need to be addressed eventually. Despite Blizzard's lack of transparency, the Hearthstone community has figured out the pity timer system (which runs per expansion). Their Pity timer per expansion is set for 10 packs = 1 epic and 40 packs = 1 legendary.) I think that duplicates in the pity timer presents a problem long term. I am not Salty about Un'goro at all because I know how the pity timer works and I feel grateful toward Blizzard especially the way that they handled the whole Hall of Fame issue. Plus, I think that Blizzard has in the past demonstrated care for the community with the MSG release. I think that it is important to note that Blizzard has shown care in the past and I am not salty. That being said I think that duplicates in the legendary pity timer will be problematic in the future especially because it punishes people from crafting legendaries early in the release. This will deepen the stratification of gamers which I think is not desirable in a F2P game.
What about the counter argument that states: "F2P gamers are welcomed to play arena." This is a strong counter argument however this stance does not fully embrace full game content for all users. Is this idea to altruistic? I would argue it isn't and hearthstone had a system in place that they recently dumped called Adventures. All players would get all cards. 100% with bad cards and good cards. Gamers who bought Adventures had no duplicates and this kept the game healthy. Every player got Reno Jackson and Brann Bronzebeard. Players new to hearthstone or players coming back to hearthstone had an opportunity to jump back in and play a really fun single player adventure which pushed players to craft decks and attempt the challenges. With the removal of adventures from Hearthstone there is a serious hole left in the Hearthstone system and I think that we will not really feel the difference until the next expansion. Gradually there will be stratification of players that will provide an exit point for players who simply cannot keep up and do not wish to do the grind anymore. When I played hearthstone more casually I had about 60% of the collections yet adventures would allow me to get back into the game and play. While F2P gamers can play arena, which is one of the best parts of the game, it is not constructed and that whole side of the game would be not accessible. Furthermore, the ladder grind feels really bad, check out day9's video below. So why should players care about constructed if the ladder grind feels bad? Because creating "Fun" decks is fun. I know deck diversity is a goal of Blizzard which is why they locked rank at 20, 15, 10 and 5. The fact is that duplicates in legendary pity timer may kill more fun decks and increase grind which is not fun.

Lies, Lies , Lies, Blizzard are tards. Greedy Greedy Fools, w're not tools to make money, Where the sweet kindness that taste like honey, Adventures are great, They give us 100% Legionaries, Expansions is just blurry lie, deep down in side it's just a lie to make some money,it's not helping noobs, it's not helping pro, it's all costing us more money so you can have some of that special honey .
700 Gold = guarantee 100% all cards. 5 wings x 700 = 3500 = 35packs is at most 2 Lend 1 if you are unliucky and a bunch of duplicates."
YEah , free packs for noobs Gives around packs or was it 4 and call it helping the NOOBAND BY THE WAY BLI-TARD, YOU MAKE ROUGE TOO BROKEN
P.S I FAIL TO MAKE A GOOD SOUNDING SONG USING THESE WORDS.
Ok im gonna try to be constructive as possible so here we go
F2p experience and new player experience is awful if:
you are trying to play multiple meta decks, or you are trying to collect cards (im gonna exclude the golden ones for now)
to build a decent deck you need to have a large collection of classic cards, and a decent amount of cards from previous expansions unless you want to play a brainless deck like pirate warrior which is relatively cheap (you need patches though)
but to do that you need to play a game atleast for a year or dump some cash and im talking about atleast 100 dollars (or euros) and that is to just make 2 meta decks max 3
All in all hearthstone is a expensive game if you want to be competitive, if you are a casual you dont realy care about ranks and the best decks but if you realy want to play multiple classes and multiple decks get ready to sink some serious money with which you can buy multiple AAA titles with FULL CONTENT
if you wanna experience full content of hearthstone you have to play everyday since beta, reroll every 40 g quest, be a monster in arena and still sink like 300-500 euros atleast
and for the end i would like to say that if you want to have all cards in golden imo you need to spend atleast 3000 euros for which you can buy a decent used car which is pretty insane if you think about it
I can see where you're coming from, but this is kind of natural to a CCG. Luckily we also have Arena/Draft - its a great place for f2p or casual players to get a feel for the new set and play with a lot of the cards. While you're having fun in that new environment you'll slowly work your way to getting a collection thats ready for constructed play.
There is no duplicates!
People are only saying it's shit due to some streamers getting bad luck its called rng ffs
RNG? Well, duh. It's an unacceptable system, though, especially with the drop rate for epics and legendaries. It's a terrible value for your dollar, when you can buy several AAA quality games for the price of maybe 3 legendaries. What's worse, is that the algorithm and odds are kept secret. That shouldn't be legal for a real money purchase.
