German Players Sintolol and P4wnyhof Disqualified From Global Games
A lot of drama has surrounded the Global Games since it's first announcement, and once again recently when each countries winners were announced. Two days ago Sebastian "Forsen" Fors conceded his spot in the Swedish team due to Mats “P4wnyhof” Kathage making it into the German team, a promise he made to his community back when the event was announced.
Now, not even a week after the winners have been announced Blizzard released a new statement, disqualifying both Thomas “Sintolol” Zimmer and Mats “P4wnyhof” Kathage from participation in the German team due to inappropriate and unsportsmanlike comments.
As of now it's unclear which players will be replacing them.
Quote from BlizzardDear community,
In the light of recent, inappropriate, and unsportsmanlike comments made by Thomas “Sintolol” Zimmer and Mats “P4wnyhof” Kathage, we have decided to rescind their invitation to represent Team Germany in the upcoming Hearthstone Global Games.
We’re in the process of identifying replacement players, and will reach out to them privately.

What?
now we have a chance of winning :D
We will still prevail in group H. Bring your best!
What they said was childish and Blizzard is right that it was unsportsmanlike, but "criminal"? Isn't free speech a thing? Oh wait. Germany. Maybe you're right. Sadly. (No, I doubt it's criminal even in Germany, but you never know with their system.)
Germany is fucked by their brainwashing media/school/politicians - censorship and denunziation incoming right now, just like before teh "3rd Reich" started, just in a way more subtly, sneaky way.
It's more then time to awake again and go for some system changing restistance/revolution - Oh no, we still have bread and games....ääääähm cold beer and hearthstone/soccer... !
Learn some history before you start compairing something with the third reich.
And @Tuhljin: If that stuff would be illegal in Germany there would be more people in prison. Compared to some other countries Germany is not so bad in that regard.
When your comment begins "Free speech is a great thing but", you're almost guaranteed to be on the wrong side.
Try Googling "germany free speech arrest".
@ lowfyro01... : I don't know about your history knowledge written by the so called "winner powers" like always in history.
I know the common stories and to just those I refered.
Beneath my way above average school knowledge, endless talks to time witnesses and especially the last 6 months researches in libraries, the ways of starting censorship, denunziation and indoctrinating the plebs a fake reality are very similar !
Just now it's more evolved through many think tanks, psychological science researches and at least 2 completly ended brainwashed cycles (takes about 15-20 years each like intelligent services act/initate).
Welcome in a future world with "several" ant farms ....ääähm "nations" or is it just one big system ... ?
And like always after all they will say :"We did not know a bout anything!" - Just never follow you cognitive dissonances ...
The moral of silence is exactly the same as around 1933 !
Until the"new leather coat gestapo" will deport your neighbours, but then it's allready too late.
Sorry but writing about "winner powers" and the history written by them makes it really hard to take your posts seriously. So does comparing a company ending the coperation with someone who was asking for it after saying stuff that any company would not look kindly at to a dictatorship that killed millions of people just because they did not fit in their definition of "worth". And yes the Nazis did censorship and all other stuff you mentioned but I think today in a western democracy you don't run the risk of loosing your head after saying stuff the state does not like.
So if Blizzard is kicking out people for inappropriate comments, a lot more would have to go. Don't get me wrong, I think it is okay to kick players for such behaviour as they have an exemplary function (even if I defended p4wny multiple times against excessive hate).
But just watch Forsens stream, then you hear things like "I will fuck your pregnant girlfriend and your unborn daughter at the same time.". Luckily he kicked himself out. :P Now let the minus rain, forsenboys...
welcome to the wonderful world of corporatism. rules and ethics go out the window the second it effects ad revenue and viewership.
It's hard for me to pick a personal favorite Forsen moment. I'm torn between his unmoderated racist spam chat or the time he played the ISIS propaganda song "For the sake of Allah". P4wny may have his failings, and may or may not have used bots to kick start his career, but generally it is a pleasant and informative stream. As for his online persona being insincere, word has it Robert Downey Jr. isn't really Iron Man either.
Forsen is not necessarily an ill-meaning person (albeit his level of personal responsibility is among the lowest I've ever encountered), but his style of entertainment certainly should be factored in these decisions. I'm sure he himself would understand if he got banned from an event with such a stated reason.
Not gonna say I appreciate any of these people, but I would guess a lot of Forsen's "borderline" conduct is part of a show ; In essence, he doesn't really believe any of these things, it's just comedy.
In P4wny and Sintolol's case, it looks like a genuine outburst, and one that has been willingly made public ( In P4wny's case, he tweeted it, so he definitely wanted to make sure everyone would see it ; Not sure in Sintolol's case, I saw a video of it, but it might have been a repost ).
Blizzard probably realized they had to get rid of p4wny or face an imminent disaster, and this was the excuse they felt they could justify. Sintolol had to go down with the ship.
