Does Smuggler's Run count as "on your minions"? Cause if so this may not be too hard.
Run smaller buffs and you should be fine... Hopefully.
From a cursory reading this is direct spells on minions which is pretty bad. Honestly 4 would be a tall order I think, especially with Seal of Champions rotating out of Standard. The issue is that the Quest is a dead card and if you draw stuff in the wrong order, so are buffs like Blessing of Might and Blessing of Kings. It also says YOUR minions, so you can't milk value off of Hammer of Wrath and Humility.
The real issue is that most quests reward playing a midrange or control game, but a lot of the best Paladin buffs are for aggro or combo decks (Blessing of Might, Blessed Champion, Blessing of Kings) or just are weak cards in general (Divine Strength, Silvermoon Portal. Unless we get a really strong defensive targeting spell (2 mana, minion gets +1/+3, Taunt, and Divine Shield or 0 mana, +1/+1) this seems like the worst quest. Doesn't help that while very spicy and fun, Galvadon can have so much go wrong even if you choose perfectly and give it say Stealth, "Spellshield", and Windfury - blocked by taunts, nailed by Twisting Nether and Deadly Shot, etc.
Do Handbuffs count? I was hoping that the quest could be played in a handbuff deck so I could buff the shit out of Galvadon.
Nope.
You guys have to consider that this card is gonna get pretty much all the adapt mechanics including the "can't be targeted by spells or hero powers". Like it's a badass monster for 5 mana you can'r really clear efficiently. Remember how difficult it is to clear off Soggoth. The only thing that's gonna be able to play around this card might be a silence effect
This goes principle goes up for pretty much all good legendary cards and new quest cards?
I think it is all about putting things on board at the right time, so lure the enemy into clearing the board then play the better cards?
A lot of people seems to forget that adapt has a spell block wich you would choose. This is weak against twisting nether(8 mana) and brawl or doom etc. You cant target it wich makes this card an annoying threat for 5 mana. This is not so good but misjudged
Looks like they want Paladin to be Aggro....You run Blessing of Kings, Seal of Champions, Blessing of Might, etc....Than the quest reward is your big finisher. Leeroy on steroids.
So the the hardest quest for the shittiest reward for the weakest class. THANKS BLIZZARD! I`M A VERY HAPPY MAIN PALADIN WHO HAS NEVER HAD A GOOD DECK. (except for maybe secret pally for like 3 months)
Dude I really want to belive you`re right and this card is good but I really cant be optimistic, this is just too slow for this game.
I like it. It won't be your big finisher most of the time but you can always put other late game cards in your deck.
Shame Djinni of Zephyrs is rotating out, maybe pally will get a class card like djinni that has synergy with buffs and would count as an extra buff cast on your minions at the same time.
Regardless, I love buffadin and will probably craft and build it even though I know it seems a little unlikely to be great.
Out of all the quest rewards, this is by far the shittiest one, Shaman draws you 10 cards, Hunter adds 15 broken cards to your deck, Lock gets constant threats, Rogue gets permabuffed creatures, Priest gets Reno on steroids, Pally just gets Siphon Soul'd (or any other single target removal, even Earth Shock would leave you with a 5/4 quest reward) and goes sit on the corner to cry.
Kind of sad, really, another year of paladin being left so far behind, i can't even.
Adapt 5 times. Can't be targetet by spells or hero powers is an adaptation. :)
Highly unlikely that this card is Siphoned. Spell protection will be picked up and will be chosen.
