I am a little skeptical about the whole "played last turn" bit. Lets say you have a curve, are they any Elemental minions you want to play on 3 mana? Will we see a 3 mana elemental that isn't a Rager released?
If the set provides a reasonable line of Elemental minions to curve out then it would be easy to get the last turn bonuses. Otherwise some of these cards will be "dead" in your hand for a turn.
"Will we see a 3 mana elemental that isn't a Rager released?"
Tar Creeper
OVER FUCKING POWERED!!! What the fuck is this?!?
#powercreep, #curvestone, #ripbalance
Since its OVER FUCKING POWERED, why not use it then? =)
Wow, I'm impressed, this expansion so far has been way above my expectations, as Blizzard seems to finally be answering the call for stronger anti-aggro tools. So many good neutral taunts this expansion hopefully will severely reduce aggro's power.
And as far as jades are concerned, control decks are shaping up to be way more proactive and minion-centric than the "hero power and emote" 5 turns in a row like the old days, judging from the elementals and the priest quest, which pushes a minion heavy nzoth archetype, and those are much harder for jade druid to deal with.
And if it does come down to a Jade dominant meta, which I don't expect to happen, they can just nerf jade idol, which I believe to be the real problem, since the other jade classes aren't nearly as oppressive in their anti-control behaviour, so, so far at least, I'm optimistic.
I think I remember hearing them say they were introducing an anti-jade tech card in this expansion. While I find that odd considering your assessment is spot on (Only Jade Druid is Oppressive, the rest are manageable through good play) I'll wait to see what that tech could possibly be.
"Forced Archetype"
"Elementals = Curvestone"
"Taunt Meta"
Stop complaining, at least it'll deliver us from this past year of aggrostone.
Feel like with all these taunts it's time to craft The Black Knight..
hearthstone in two years:
3 mana 5/5 - if you used two emotes the turn befor, gain charge and mega-windfury
I appreciate that at least this is not an elemental, meaning it can't trigger anything the next turn
What the actual fuck?
Guys, am I the only one who thought it's powerful by ITSELF?
I thought none of 4-cost taunt minions would be better over Twilight Guardian..
guys?
*Anduin* Cool buffed minion you got there, would be a shame if someone Shadow Word: Pain it
On a serious note: Compared to the guardian - both conditional, but for 1 less HP here you get Divine shield which is way way better IMO. Some classes can ping, yet mage need to spend 2 mana to remove it, druid, rogue need to ram face etc. Otherwise it eats 1 durablity off a weapon or requires additional trade. Crazy good I think. It seems we are about to have taunt meta and this fits to the cards that are already reavealed: Tortollan Shellraiser, Lakkari Felhound, Ozruk, Stone Sentinel, Sunkeeper Tarim, Tar Creeper, and ofc Massive adaptation.
It is a Sen'jin Shieldmasta without the effect.
Nope, it is just a 3/5 without anything without the effect...
Wow, you're right :O it is even worse!
Some of new cards ahve very good synergy with handbuffs.
Why is Zhihu...
Does this mean taunt warrior will be viable?
