It's finally here! The first ever Un'Goro card reveal livestream revealed 11 new cards to us from the upcoming expansion. Peter Whalen of the Hearthstone team and all-around-awesome-person Sean "Day[9]" Plott were on stream to present and talk about the cards.
- More cards will be shown starting next week.
- They confirmed some cards will be shown at the HCT Bahamas event.
- Quest cards can be counterspelled.
- Nether Portal does indeed spawn an imp every turn!
- Un'Goro Pack via Elise the Trailblazer doesn't mimic in-game packs. It has better chances for Legendaries and gives a guaranteed epic.

Effects seem interesting, but am I the only one who is not too keen on the art style? They look like the Toon cards in YGO.
I actually like them.
Heartstone should be more fun and crazy, not bunch of edgy and grim cards. I'd rather have this than boring generic TGT cards
Looks like "One class gets no cards shown for a long time" isn't happening.
"For a long time" doesn't mean never :)
We still didn't get a druid or shaman card at stream.
HAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT A FAILURE! What a way to say. Hey next expansion will suck thank you for your 50 dollars suck a dick. Good thing I wasn't fooled into buying the crappy new expansion. Will stick to MSoG even though I'm gonna buy only 40 packs the power level of these cards are garbage. ADAPT? What a joke why not 1 mana summon 15:15? Jade golems set a high bar in value. Good luck repairing yourself blizzard. Yoy will need it
Lol fuck off
Well, the smorg/smorc somehow has a point. Most cards of expansions never get viable (just look at TGT) and think about how much money you have to spend to get a complete 130 AddOn. That is like 200-300$ at least.
Cards beeing cool doesn't mean that the decks you can build will see play any play at all. GVG? Same.. Mech mage is the only day you could still play today... the rest is trash.
How do you see a "hide and set your life to 40" priest winning against a dragon priest? you will never get close to the dragon or jade value.
Discard WL? A cheese deck... pirates do the same thing. Difference? They got charge and discard will not be able to catch up.
Rogue? Play 4 cards to resummon a plant with 3 HP? How many times do you think that you can empty your hand in a game to get enough value?
Discover Warrior? Can't rely on it to be inconsistent (pay mana to draft your arena deck in constructed, after your other gameplan failed)
New Elise? Based on value maybe the best card so far
Dont get me wrong.. i like new cards, but i dont think that it is a must buy... just wait, use gold and craft what you miss for the meta from your "gets moved to classic" dust.
You sound like a 10 year old lol
After a year of SMOrcing and aggro it seems we are moving straight into value gaming... Just a hypothetic question, who will win, infinite value-golems from druid, or constant value-spawning imps from warlock? I'm rooting for imps thou ))))
It´s a question of tempo in that scenario, not value.
Even a Reno-Mage can "out-value" Jade Druid, the moment druid hits fatigue-jade-idols-only and mage got still a good Hand/Deck to work with, Mage wins, cause he´ll be able to put more Tempo out there, instead of playing 2 10/10's in 3 turns.
Atleast thats how i beaten up Jade druid as reno mage with the whatsoever 25% winrate vs Jadedruid, the nether portal is pretty much that scenario, whoever runs out of steam first to support the endless value tempo machinery, will most likely loose.
Lol the Card Reveal Bingo is hella funny yet true. Let's not forget: Situational Priest card. Aggro Deck Enabler. Unplayable Thief Rogue.
Which one is the Aggro Deck Enabler?
Unusable paladin buff card: Dinosize
Forced archetype: Secret Mage
Op vanilla stats class card :Arcanologist
Discardlock
It has battlecry, why u think it's vanilla?
And Powercreep: Tar Creeper (stricktly better tthan Am'gam Rager)
its vanilla stats and draw a useful card. so its pretty much a drakonid operative
