Golakka Crawler is my new favorite card
Why? Because Pirate Warriors can play it on turn 2 to make a 3/4 for 2 mana to salvage their N'Zoth's First Mate after it attacked?
It doesn't say "can't target your own minion", so Blizzard somehow failed with "creating a counter" and in some way just gave that deck a Totem Golem.
edit: Seems that people dont get my point here...
Pirates have to play it, because IF people would play Golakka Crawler THEY would eat your pirate. Having it yourself (+ the other minion/weapon on board) makes it possible for you to trade into them and still come out with a 3/1 left on the board.
You CAN use it against other Pirates as well (giving your the upper hand), while using it on yourself against a Mage to get a 4hp body is still better than getting it pinged away. You would still have patches (or Small-Time Buccaneer) on the board, so you have a 1/1 AND a 3/4 on board, making it AGAIN very hard for your enemy to clear your board. One of the reasons why pirates are strong is the fact that the enemy will always stay 1 step behind... and this card helps you doing this (while 2/3 alone is still "ok")
I know that many dont understand this gameplay and why you play some cards in decks.. but at some point you should start to learn. Golakka Crawler is not your 1337 techcard, because it is stronger in pirate decks than in the decks who try to coutner them.
They can activate it in any matchup... you cant.. THEY will ALWAYS have the higher value/synergy by default...you don't.
It is not a Totem Golem. At best, you're basically playing a 2 mana card that gives a pirate +2/+3.
Pirate players aren't going to run it, at BEST you are getting +1/1 for +1/1 which is gaining nothing. At worst you are stuck with a card you can't play at all because battlecrys are forced to happen and if you have a decent pirate on the board you'll be forced to kill it just to run the crab. Come on guys, use some critical thinking here.
Why do people think that Golakka Crawler is going to see play in Pirate Warrior????
If you eat one of your own 1/1's with it it's the same as if you just played a 2 mana 2/3 Beast... It's like putting a fucking River Croc in your Pirate Warrior...
Also if Pirates still are seeing so much play that you need to tech against them after the expansion, then it means that Blizzard failed....
"Destroy all minions with the same name on your opponent's board. Your opponent can't summon any minions with the destroyed minion's name."
Jade only card but I'd take it, even if it was a 10 mana spell and you lost half of your life points
Where are my combo pieces >< I want combo cards and not midrange cards. I still know all those midrange hunter metas and midrange shaman metas. There's gonna be a massively overpowered midrange class for those cards and we will be in the same spot again. I'm not complaining that it slowed down but I really do hope for blizzard that they kept this in mind when they are going to release the rest of the cards. The new quest mechanic isn't really a combo deck
Good ideas, cool balanced cards, but... Jade Idol still not countered LUL nice game LUL introducing control cards when you have 1 mana infinite/infinite LUL
So you have seen the rest of the 100 cards ? since you know that ?
I know there wont be counter because it CANNOT be countered. It either has to be removed from the game or brilliantly nerfed.
King Dred out of "summon random beast" cards <3
thank goodness Ram Wrangler is getting rotated out, I do NOT want to see this card appear randomly (>~<)
Ok, i know everyone has been waiting for ages on card reveals and now that we got a little bit shown you can wait a couple of days until next week for no damn reason - Blizzard
Keep letting off that gas pedal!! Is it just me or is Hearthstone's Marketing/PR horrible? It just seems like more can be done and done better.
You are right, dunno why your post is so downvoted
PS: And mine too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It gives off hype about which decks you wanna make, how you're gonna use the cards, and the predictions behind them. Besides it gives the hs youtubers that sweet sweet ad revenue.
We already have the overpowered common mage card and the useless paladin buff card.
try dinosize with some cheap charge minion like patches, southea deckhand, stonetusk boar or bluegill warrior. That might make it viable. 10 unstoppable damage with a 10 10 left on board is pretty good.
Ye, you can get Icehowl that can rekt opponent's face, with a 2-card combo for 9-10 mana. But still, I'm not sure it will play frequently.
Hand Buffadin could pump a stonetusk boar pretty high in damage so I see some viability.
Do explain how.
@Darksnow it doesn't give a minion +10, it sets it to 10.
