China's Brawl with Un'Goro Pack Rewards
China's Heroic Brawl has been delayed a week and replaced with what is a new version of Encounter at the Crossroads which has an interesting modification - Party Crashers! These minions are 4-mana 3/5s which have Taunt and attack automatically at the end of your turn into your opponent's face.
This brawl rewards players with an Un'Goro card pack, which can't be opened until the expansion releases in April.
Maybe we'll get this Brawl mashup next week when China gets their Heroic Brawl, but no official word has come out yet on that or if we'll be seeing Un'Goro packs from any future Brawls.
Thanks to /u/VinnyKappa on reddit for the information and screenshots.
But Wait There's More!
What is truly interesting about this Brawl is that it looks like this is a mashup of two different Brawls; Encounter at the Crossroads, and a new Co-Op Brawl that is incoming which celebrates the Year of the Mammoth, which we datamined in Hearthstone Patch 7.1 last week.
This Co-Op Brawl looks like it's going to hit somewhere around the launch of the Year of the Mammoth, more likely afterwards due to a client string that states we are celebrating the year itself, which is traditionally done after it actually begins.

Blizzard just found a way to make us pay to play ranked ladder. What a great idea blizzard.
Please give us regular brawls, Or just don't make it 1k entry fee...
I've payed 10$ to play a competitive ladder mode, got to 10 wins and had a lot of fun doing it. I don't mind a high risk high reward competitive mode at all and I welcome the challenge. Sure, the brawl isn't meant to be fun for everyone because it wasn't designed to be for everyone. Nevertheless I did enjoy it quite a lot and I'm hoping that they find a way to make it a permanent part of the game but without taking away the regular tavern brawl. It is more fun than playing the standard ladder because the rewards are far better than 10 gold per 3 wins.
Would you rather wait a bit longer or have your internet censored by the government?
How many times do you plan on replying using the same exact words? Don't you think once was enough?
I didn't feel like typing a new message for every comment like this one xD
Yeah I supposed so... What I was trying to say is that I think it's pointless to reply to anyone that complains about the same thing....
China gets some cooler stuff than we do but in return it is a country with extremely strict censorship laws. The internet there is also censored by the government. Consider that an exchange where X is cool Blizzard games stuff and Y is internet censorship. I would rather not have any of the cool stuff that they are getting than live in a country where almost everything is censored. So yes, while it seems cool that they are getting all this stuff they're still living in a country with messed up laws. When you think about it that way you'll see that there is really no reason to envy them...ever.
From my limited research on the topic I can tell you that it is not Blizzard's doing to screw with us or because China is, well, China but there appears to be some kind of agreement between the two although I can't find the specifics. China usually gets exclusive stuff that we don't have access to like the golden portrait, this, wow stuff and other but the decision to implement those things comes from their end, not from Blizzard's.
Found it :p
There is a signed agreement between Blizzard and the Chinese company NetEase which allows Blizzard to sell their games and merchandise in China, but NetEase gets to influence the ongoings in those games as long as it doesn't extend their mainland borders. This is why you have exclusive stuff in China that we don't have access to.
Hummm......Interesting. I find that odd yet ok. As a collector of things (baseball cards/M:TG/....) I try to collect/get every card back in HS (been playing since closed beta). When the all golden back came out, I was ok with not getting that back, because I'll never go to China. It's just something that may have been on Mars as far as me getting it, and I am fine with that. I don't mind China getting someting so specific as an "all golden back for finishing in the top 128 of a Blizz tourney". That being said, I still wish there was a way for me to get that back. But I need to stand by what I've said before.....I feel new players shouldn't get older card backs from months that they didn't play HS. Had they played HS earlier, they'd have the back they want. Had I been born in China, and good enough at HS, I'd have the all golden back!!!
China getting this, NA will probably have expansion day earlier and get like 16 packs bonus because they gonna whine about how they get too much same cards, aaand EU gets screwed again.
NA whines? I can argue the same for EU. Downvote me.
Think you didn't read till the end... ^^
That's a EU whine about last expansion, where NA got extra free packs cause of the multiclass cards "bug"
Done and done.
Yeah poor NA were pretty much guaranteed to get the best/most interesting legendaries from the new expansion so they got their packs with a 33% discount...cause logic....what did EU get again? Oh they got to wait like half a day extra before they got to play with the new cards....yeah...seems fair right? Especially considering the US exclusive Amazon deal at the time making their packs already cost 50% less....yeah....that's totally fair!
Lol every time someone points out that NA whines, they proceed to do the same.
And let's be real, any region would have complained about their pack results being weighed incorrectly. And likewise, any region that didn't get to take advantage of the free packs to compensate would have whined as well. It's not so much NA/EU/China players are whiny, it's gamers that are whiny.
"These minions are 4-mana 3/5s which have Taunt and attack automatically at the end of your turn into your opponent's face."
Imagine Blizzard actually testing/releasing this mechanic in the future set.
"Guys buy more packs, you don't even need to drag the mouse to SMORC anymore!"
Would love to get my hands on both the statistics package for China HS and some of those sweet, sweet packs.
