What's on Your Hearthstone Wishlist for Next Year?
Hearthstone Game Designer, August Dean Ayala, took to Twitter yesterday to ask the community what they'd like to see from the game next year.
So HearthPwnians, what stuff do you want to see from the game next year? Personally, I'd love to see more of the developer insights series that Ben Brode started and I won't even be picky about who you put on.
Overwatch's Game Director, Jeff Kaplan, does pretty regular updates for that community and they're filled with insight. Talk to us about some upcoming content, even if its vague. Provide us with interesting stats here and there - don't be afraid to release stuff like that. Or hey, I know this sounds crazy, but maybe you guys could even use that blog for updates that aren't guacboi.

I would like a mode that let's me choose which expansion cards are allowed.
1. Consider moving Reno and Healbot to classic set .
2. Replay.
3. Make Handlock viable again (rework Molten Giant or make a similar card mechanic but playable to counter aggro)
they've already said that they want to make healing something that is difficult to get for most classes. Personally I'd prefer if they came up with other stabilizing mechanics for the classes that don't have healing in their lore. Things like ice block for mage, or possibly a hero stealthing mechanic for Rogue.
1. A vote to bring one card from each expansion that rotates out into Standard. Let the community decide how to shake up the game. Ban super broken cards, like Dr. Boom , Mad Scientist , and Piloted Shredder from the vote, but this could be a good way to bring cool cards like Loatheb , Sneed's Old Shredder , or Reno Jackson back into the meta once they've rotated out.
2. No more broken one drops. Please.
3. Some serious help for Paladin and Hunter, who are nowhere near competitive at this point.
Honorable Mention: Maybe nerfing some of the cards that were never fixed from Wild, like Dr. Boom and Mad Scientist. People play Wild, too, and these cards are just ridiculous.
With Dreadscale leaving Standard, I would like to see a minion, preferably a 3 mana one, to reliably take on weenie decks like Pirate Warrior.
1. more max hp (maybe just a bigger pool)
2. more combo cards (like emp, aviana, nzoth)
3. more passiv healing on high cost cards just to stabilze.
4. make bladefury a 2 mana card again. rogue needs aoe and this card is just perfekt. (without the face dmg)
5. redo the evergreen set (add emp, add healbot, get rid of all the useless vanilla cards)
6. less early game rng
7. more multiclass cards.
8. "traitor cards": effects from other classes. (like blood warrior)
rogue is strong indeed but only bc how broken buckle and patches are
miracle rogue is a cool deck and im happy to see more rogue again but it is the only playable rogue deck since tinkers. also what would bf change? its not an aggro card so it wouldnt make the cut.
I'd wish for a rework of the class cards in the basic set. Classes like priest have weak class cards that cause blizzard to print stronger cards to make these classes playable in standard. A few more rotations and noone will be able to contain the wild format Priest-beast.
Balance.
More Discover, the best mechanic of the game.
1. Legendary Spells and/or Weapons
2. The last 3 classes (Warlock, Druid, Rogue) to get their alternate hero portraits.
3. More Multi-Class cards, these are a great and fun card designs and i would love to see more of these in future sets even though blizz said they probably won't make more but it would be fun to see Paladin and Priests or Hunters and Warlocks share cards with each other.
to die
Rework the laddersystem (for example just lose 5 ranks at the end of your season from highest rank of the season before) and add Statistics to your account over all seasons !
Make the disentchanting value of (golden) cards not so low ...
Let Reno, Sir finley + Bran in Standard card pool - so put them in the classic card pool maybe °_o.
ANd let me get rewards for my 2nd Rank 5 (in WILD) also !!!
I would love to see some classes go in different directions. Hunter especially is a blast to play in a control style, but Blizzard has done nothing to help out that type of deck. I've got 30 or so games on Malygos Reno Hunter, and although it's inconsistent, it's so much fun. Any control style deck for hunters is super cool. In addition, maybe some more supporting cards for either Paladin or Hunter. Both classes have been wiped from the face of the earth and I have seen about 1 of each in my 100 games of ladder this month. Paladin could either go in a really heavy control type of way, or a rush murloc way. I'm rooting for the control, but if Blizzard can find a way to make either one fun and at least semi-viable on ladder I'd be happy. Finally, I'd like to be able to pay Blizzard to unlock Tyrande. It's really unfair that only certain people got it. I only heard about the promotion after it was over, and I really do like Priest a ton. Not only this, but alternate skins for Warlock and Rogue would be really cool.
A rework of the core set.
Core set cards defines the identity of classes, their playstyle. But more importantly it defines their viability over the long term. Classes like Paladin, Priest or Shaman (shaman sucked before LoE, remember?) don't have those and are entirely reliant on expansion cards to be viable, especially Paladin.
Crazy, fun but potentially unbalanced ideas should be reserved to expansions. The core set should be filled with boring but effective cards to reduce the enormous power differentials that exist between classes each expansion.
Also, buff basic cards. Silverback Patriarch isn't worth 3 mana.
1/ Tyrande available for ALL, and future heroes/stuff always available for ALL.
2/ Some more Shadow Priest spice. Raza the Chained was a start, but more synergy for Shadowform and more thematic cards please.
3/ Don't abandon old mechanics that weren't bad. Inspire was good, joust was good (yes I said it, I want a mechanic like this that gives the edge to slower decks). Just balance their cards better. I think joust was a great idea with bad execution.
4/ Buff the occasional card that is unique but terrible. I understand why some cards need to be below average, but some are just abysmal. I don't understand the "never buff anything" policy.
Many things I want to say really, but it will end up being a book. Keep up the great work and happy 2017 to all of us!
It would be nice to see the litch king himself in some form, not a agro tho XD and perhaps 2v2
Also, I'd really REALLY like it if we could ditch a single card as an arena reward...That bugs me so much.
I think more disruption cards would be very interesting. Dirty rat is a nice step in the right direction, but I'd like to see more.
agree. more disrupt and combo decks. that will create a controlish meta we want.
