The Best Gadgetzan Decks to Play Right Now
The meta has settled in since the launch of Gadgetzan a couple of weeks ago and it's time to look at what is coming out on top for ladder play. If you're looking for something strong to play, you've come to the right place.
You can click on any of the decks below to go to a more in-depth guide to learn more about their playstyles. Also, be sure to share your experience and tips you have for these decks in the comments!
Renolock
There's nothing the HearthPwn mod team loves more than Renolock. These are some of the most fun decks to add to our deckbuilder during tournaments, especially when they're in a foreign language. On a more serious note though, Renolock has gained serious momentum with the introduction of Kazakus due to some of the crazy control that the card provides.

Aggro Shaman
Yes, we know, Shaman. There's been some disappointment that Shaman still ranks in the top of decks but hey, at least it's fun! Gadgetzan's Pirate additions helped bring Aggro Shaman out on top thanks to the incredible Patches the Pirate and Small-Time Buccaneer which has great synergy with Spirit Claws.

Miracle Rogue
Last but certainly not least, you're looking for Miracle Rogue! Much like how Aggro Shaman benefited from the Gadgetzan Pirates, Miracle Rogue did as well. That and the amazing Counterfeit Coin have really helped push the deck back into the spotlight and it brings back great memories of one of the more arguably fun decks this game has seen.
Bonus points for being effective against Pirate Warrior and Aggro Shaman.

So I tried Miracle . Boy am I disappointed !
The ladder is full of aggro decks that just want to smash in the face . Not the greatest feeling when your deck has no heal, no good aoe and no taunt . But if I tech against aggro than I lose match ups that I'm suppose to win (vs warlock, priest) .
Overall not a good experience, but I learned a few things:
- the only way to beat aggro is to become the aggressor .
- to beat control you need to be a little more greedy (2 conceal is a must)
- questing version seems stronger than SI .
There is two type of Hearthstone players: Those who understand that even with a great deck u barely achieve more than 55% win rate, and the others who think they are good by netdecking..... Sad community
The expansion has so many good cards, it's so sad that most of them are only used for aggro/tempo or burst decks. It's not the fault of the cards, it's still this totally outdated ranked system where quantity>quality of the games.
I hope there is some tinkering energy out there for control decks beside highlander kabals.
While SSC was one of the best tournaments in 2016 I'm afraid of seeing variations of the decks used there for the next 3 months.
So.. hater's time, you can press this downvote button now ;)
I do hope after rotation that some cards will have their time in the spot light.
The main thing, that leaves the Standart, is Reno. Reno, who is now standing against aggro. That means even less means to deal with it.
He said number of turns, not length of games.
Renolock matches are always different
Soooo... Reno Warlock is cancer, aggro Shaman is cancer (which means all aggro decks are cancer i suppose), even miracle rogue is cancer?
So if i'm right, the only deck type that's not cancer are control decks. But only the ones which don't use Reno Jackson. Or any miracle-ish combo's. Or Pirates. And it can't be a Warlock deck.
Bonus points for being effective against Pirate Warrior - haven't laugh so much in a while
Miracle Rogue "effective" against Pirate Warrior? Who actually writes these supposed guides?
But it is. It has better tempo, cheap removal and more consistency.
Yeah, and if you don't draw perfectly you are dead on turn 6. If Edwin is not in the first 10 cards you will most likely lose.
Against aggro really good goes miracle-rogue with Questing. And then you have 3 "Edvins"
This reno is so greedy in this meta aggro, ragnaros it works vs mirror jaja
So, basically what you're saying is:
Play 8-legendary Reno decks, pirate aggro cancer or the same combo deck that has been around since alpha?
What's the point of having a pretty inspired and cool expansion when we're reduced to just playing shit like this? =[
Just read the title. What were you expecting? Handbuffing Paladin here?
Just after the title: "If you're looking for something strong to play, you've come to the right place."
They're not obligating you to play these decks, you're free to play whatever you want.
Dude, play whatever you want. It's not all about climbing ladder. Maybe sometime make an interesting deck and play with just for the fun of playing it - making to some crazy OTK or just punishing your opponent in a new way.
I got Legend once. And i'm not planing on doing it ever again. I play what I like. Majordomo-Mage, Randuin, Burgle-Rogue. And I actually enjoy those. Maybe I'm not winning 24/7, but I do win a lot on lower ranks, cause those players are stupid, who can play only one way and don't expect for others to do something meta-different. And I definitely not whining in comments, how I'm sick of that or this meta.
And the main: I'm happy with The Game that way. And you are clearly not. Then why do you play it?
