Get Ready for Batstone #2!
Firebat is back with another Batstone! As we know from last time Batstone is a tournament that tries to be different than other tournaments in some shape or form.
This time the community has voted on how many cards from the latest expansion should be included in each players deck at minimum with an outcome of 10. Unlike last time when a large amount of cards were banned by the community and participants, this time only one card is disallowed: Patches the Pirate!
General Info
The tournament will be hosted on Firebat's Twitch Channel and start on Tuesday December 6th at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 18:00 CET and goes on until Thursday December 8th. It is organized by Cloud 9.
Format
- Standard Format
- Double Elimination
- Best of 5
- Conquest without ban (Each player brings 3 classes)
- The community has voted that each deck must include at minimum 10 cards from Mean Streets of Gadgetzan

Where can i see the decklist?
Who's in charrrrrrrge now?
It ain't Patches! EleGiggle
I guess you could say Firebat isn't enjoying the new Patches.
under this rule u cant really play a Reno deck or any other deck then Jade, Pirates or Goon.
i most certainly were wrong about renolock
What does 10 cards mean? 10 different cards from MsoG or 10 out of 30 cards?
Did they found a sponsor or Cloud9 just gave them the prize pool money?
Cause that was also the fun part of the first one - players were competing for free - just for the fun of something different.
My explanation:
1 mana 1/1 - bad
1 mana 1/1 charge - not good enough
0 mana 1/1 charge - decent
0 mana 1/1 charge you dont need to have this card in your hand - good
0 mana 1/1 whenever you summon a pirate make you deck more consistend and get a 1/1 charge for free out of your deck - close to broken.
Should have been not a pirate itself, just like the other legendaries they introduced that synergize with a type but aren't that type itself, likeWrathion
Have you read his flavor text?
I missed Firebat's reasoning, but I'll be a dummy and ask... why is Patches banned?
they dared to invite lifecoach without inviting thijs
Blizzard should adopt this concept of tournament to get it's viewership more invested and involved by allowing them to vote on which cards are banned and other restrictions for the pro players. It just adds another dimension and keeps things fresh while creating more interest for viewers it's more engaging for everyone.
It can be flexible rules that can change all the time, like all pro players have to have 1 Angry Chicken in there decks and the rest of the 29 cards is up to the pro player. That would be hilarious and awesome at next years Blizzcon.
All the Jade Druids need to do is bring the usual decklist with a tech choice from MSoG....
There should have been more restrictions >.>
This doesn't really feel like the first Batstone to me. with the goal of 'being different from a normal Hearthstone tournament' it seems to be a pretty standard one, other than the banning of Patches the Pirate.
The 10 MSoG card limit means that we'll probably see more diversity in the Reno lineups, as well as eliminating Freeze Mage, Miracle Rogue, Miracle Druid, certain Dragon Priest lists, and Midrange Shaman.
