Don't get me wrong, the card is GOOD, but not broken:
This is a Deathrattle effect and not a BattleCry. So you can still deal with it the same way you deal with big threating Deathrattle minions like Tirion Fordring ( Silence, Transform... )
And even if your opponent manages to trigger the Deathrattle effect, you will probably be smart enough to save your Hard Removal to deal with the 10/10 Taunt. (The same way you save a removal for a C'Thun).
This card is NOT as good as Thing from Below, because you can play Thing from Below at turn 4 for 4 mana.
But you can't play The Storm Guardian at turn 5. You need to shuffle the card first into your deck, then draw it, then play it. So you will most likely play The Storm Guardian at the late game.
And at the late game: Aggro decks lose anyways, and Control decks can deal with a 10/10 minion.
And what if you draw at turn 6? The Storm Guardian
What about Barnes drop?
To realize the real power of the card you have to consider what it does on average when you play it, not only the extremely good and rare scenarios. What if The Storm Guardian is the last card in your deck then? That's the retarded way of evaluating a card
This card is way stronger than it looks, because you would put it into any deck. Loatheb was played in nearly every deck, because its a 5 mana 5/5 with nice effect. This card is 5 mana 5/5 Taunt with great (albeit delayed) effect. Its strong versus aggro (because taunt), its strong versus control (because value), its strong on curve, its strong when behind, its strong when ahead. And if you draw 10/10 Taunt next turn, you might just win on the spot.
For mid-range/aggro type shamans this is simply a 5 mana 5/5 taunt with a rare chance of creating another win condition. It's more consistent to play other cards. The 0 mana 5/5 taunt is a much better card in those cases.
Blizzard so predictable kappa
People don't understand that. This is a very good card and they gave it to Shaman. But it is not a problem.Cause this card can't be played in midrange/aggro type of decks. This is a slow card and if you want to take value from that , game must be longer.Control/N'zoth Shaman is not very good at that moment and Blizzard wants to push that and they want players to play control type of decks more than aggro. And after 4-5 months Shaman will lose Tunnel Trogg,Totem Golem and Thunder Bluff Valiant. And after these things rotated out shaman will not be strong anymore. They will need another deck to stay in the meta. And maybe with the new expansion (after msg).Shaman will be a good class for control decks. And the control decks is decks that we want to see.I really liked that card.SeemsGood.
At least if this card was like a 2/2 it could cause a lack of tempo at turn 5, so you sacrifice something to get a 10/10 taunt (like you do when you use Justicar), but instead Blizzard gave to Shaman the perfect turn 5 tempo play.
I think it´s better than the current Azure Drake
So many ways to deal with White Eyes Deathrattle.
SIlence, Hex, Polymorph, Entomb, Make it into a boar, make it into a chicken . Steal it with Sylvanas Windrunner
Hello everyone who disencanted Big Game Hunter

Yea ... Ancestral Spirit ... Greetings, Friend. Thx Blizzard
Babbling book into polymorph. That's incredible *concede*
+1
Blizzard tends to give good cards to wrong classes, This is not the first time. Why on earth this is for shamans? This definitely must be a warrior legendary, it suits perfectly the taunt theme, contantly pushed by Blizz for warriors, and this is what every N'Zoth control warrior definitely wants.
Maybe they want to push shaman towards value/control gameplan while more aggresive cards will be slowly rotating out.
Afaik in next 2-3 months the following cards will leave standard format:
-Tunnel Trogg
-Totem Golem
-Tuskarr Totemic
which were powerful staple in midrange/aggro decks.
