basically an inspire card, we all know how they turned out
Not necessarily. Priest has more ways of buffing health and healing than just its hero power, which with Raza is way more powerful for something like this. On it's own, it's a 2-mana 2/3, which is good enough for arena (Southsea Raider in Mage or whatever), but if it's used with a buff or to trade down, it generates 2/2 for 2-mana which is on par, and you suddenly developed a significant threat for your opponent to have to deal with. The reason inspire cards were generally bad was because they essentially required two additional mana above its cost to play and use its effect on curve. With Raza, that's irrelevant, and Priest has more healing tools than just its hero power. I'd say this is good enough for Reno Priest without Raza, but way better with him. This is just a decent card.
out of what, 1/100 inspire cards? TBV is a strong card NOW, but it wasn't a strong card when it was released. It became strong because of the early game curve of Trogg ---> Golem --> Tuskar/Feral and more board flood --> into a free Thing From Below, and board clears that exhaust the opponents board, as well as removal.
Solid, well designed 2 drop.
Finally! Amazing 2 drop, followed by Kabal Talonpriest and priest is back on the map again :D maybe we even might see a tempo priest :O dare i say it
Ok 2 drop. However nothing special since its pretty hard to get this off just once, but than its insane. The thing is thought its not versatile enough to see play in a reno deck and there is 0 chance ill pass on Kazakus+Raza+Reno.
So this would see play in a midrangy priest deck and even there its pretty questionable since youll kinda have to have powerword shield with this otherwise it just dies so mowst things.
Better look at this like its a 2 mana 2/3 taunt, which is ok but only 1 stat over a frostwolf grunt.
This is the great anti agro. Drop T2, if your opponent's doesn't trade for tempo it will punish them so hard.
Now if only priest real had the ability to increase go without healing... Increase character max HP or minions and this minion could almost be broken.
By what? Bananas?
The Grimy Goons (wich buff minions in hand) are cards for Paladin, Warrior and Hunter, not Priest.
No no guys you're missing the obvious point. Turn 1 mind vision coin smuggler's run. Turn 2 Mana Geode! TADA!!!
Thoughtsteal, Shifting Shade and Mind Vision for the victory! Also, Mindgames, Shadow Madness, Cabal Shadow Priest and Mind Control into Youthful Brewmaster or Ancient Brewmaster. There's plenty of combo, you know. Will it see play? No, because my ideas are always bad. But you can potentially buff geode!
This + coin + pw:shield on second turn.... Baits out: Execute, Fireball, Deadly Shot, Equality, Shadow Strike, Hex... Easiest counter only by shw: pain. Good luck warlock and druid dealing with 2/5 on turn 3.
Yeah guys, such a bad card.....
But by that logic, any 2/3 is good in priest. I really like this card and hope it sees play, but it would need some kind of activator to really shine. Like imagine if priest had some 2 mana: deal one damage to a friendly minion, draw a card. type thing, then this would be crazy. But priest can't really act as tempo because it doesn't have any early spells that are really value. Which makes me sad, I want nothing more than a tempo priest
I,ll explain you, priest padavan. Turn 2: geode+pw:shield with coin, turn 3: this damages in any minion and not die with 5 hp, followed by injured blademaster and CoH. Result: 2/5, 2/2, 4/7. Imagine if you have played cleric on turn 1..... and it survived.....
Not every 2/3 can generate another guys... Also priest have other buffs (+2/6 at least), new dude +3hp... Cmon man, its insane!
Just an OK card. Obviously, anything that gives Priest an early curve is a plus. However, I think its impact is greatly reduced if you're going second on Turn 2. 4 health I think would have better and not OP.
My hunch is this may be better playing midgame (kinda like Grim Patron) because it feels real slow to make sure it sticks or gets to be healed it up.
22/3 is useless current meta.
