Worse than original Acidic Swamp Ooze
Blizzard seems to be completely out of creativity. We don't want endless variations of the same cards, we want something NEW.
This is pretty obviously arena fodder where it will be a fine pick for your curve and as anti-weapon tech.
Actually dude... I have. And guess what? MtG actually comes up with new mechanics all the time. OH WOW. It's like they've done it for 20 years and Hearthstone, which has existed for 2 years, isn't able to do it.
But are you saying that MtG never reuses old mechanics?
It needs a pirate hat. Bloodsail Corsair
Last few cards were just... wow.
Remember 0 mana 5/5? Here's another one.
Remember leper gnome? Here's a bigger one.
Remember 2 mana 3/2 destroy a weapon? Here's a new one.
Really pushing your creativity there, blizzard.
Remember Hellfire? Here's a bigger one. xD
Remember Dread Infernal? Here's a bigger one!
Remember Cho'gall? Here's a better one!
Remember Dark Cultist? Heres another one!
Remember Deathlord? Here's a new one!
Remember Pompous Thespian? Here's yet another one!
Remember Zombie Chow? Here's a new one!
AND their new iterations are not exactly the same, they all have notable differences.
Terrible design; there are a number of weapons this would be useless on (take Doomhammer for instance) but amazing on others (Gorehowl comes to mind). The statline restricts it from Arena, the battlecry from constructed. A worse Acidic Swamp Ooze in all aspects.
Disagree that the statline restricts it from arena.
It's still premium stats, just a card that can trade up if played first. That will totally depend on how the early game goes, and can be much more impactful lategame than a 3/4.
By your logic that having more health is better than attack it means that opponent two drops are also more likely to be 2/3 not 4/3.
3/4 or 4/3 is mostly a matter of preference, since you can't even guarantee a 3 damage spell on the mode.
Not to mention classes like paladin warrior and hunter can buff this card on hand making it not only durable but more threatening.
Definitely OK card in arena. Anything with curve stats is okay there, the battlecry is a plus.
I tend to agree with you on this, although I said it restricts it from Arena mainly due to the fact that you'd usually prefer this be a 3/4, bar that you'd be 100% right. We'll have to see about the Grimy Goon buffs, but I seriously doubt it seeing use there.
It's one of those cards "oh well, the other two choices suck and this one at least doesn't gimp me, i'll take it"
Can't wait to see someone run 4 ooze and Harrison just to stick it to warrior.
Come on, it's a solid card in the arena. Not every card designed for constructed
What in the actual shit
Control and midrange People run harrison over this card. Aggr player either don't really run anything similar or Acid Swamp Ooze. This says everything,
But who knows maybe there's a reason on why you play this card when the other cards release
