Its interesting how they are tying charge to conditions now. They seem to be very careful about introducing new charge cards to the game because this way the cards will probably not see any contructed play.
I just love art (especioly the trans-beebop one), if they were printed cards, I'd get them for pictures only.
This is what happened to the poor Quilboar society after Mankrik got done with them.
The artwork makes me cringe.
taunts are alraedy bad / slow I don't like that hogrider makes them worse :/
All you guys have no idea what you're talking about. More archtypes blizzard MORE!!!!!!
I don't get why these get so much hate.
not every card has to be an Constructed power house. This is a great arena cycle that provides decently stated cards with a fun and flavorful mechanics. Look, these aren't constructed playable and that is okay. In magic the gathering, most cards never see constructive play. Sure draft is a much bigger part of that game than arena is of hearthstone, but if people freak when there fun cards that are just below the power curve. My grammar is bad.
any way whis arent that bad. Honestly can't wait to go ham on these in arena
trash
It is interesting how they are really pushing aggro and tempo this expansion.
I guess that they are trying to get Priest even more value.
I think the power level of the cards is going to increase a lot this expansion which could increase the going 1st vs going 2nd problem in Arena.
While the Leatherclad Hogleader looks like it would be good in Mill decks, it will not be run for the same reason Mill decks didn't run Clockwork Giant or Goblin Sapper, because Mill decks would rather have removal and ways to get to their removal than threats, it's also a 6 mana card, which is a terrible tempo play for Mill decks. Spiked Hogrider is okay, but in the end you're just paying 5 mana to do 5 damage to a taunt minion, and summon a regular or damaged 5/5. Tanaris Hogchopper is the worst, as the effect is way to situational, and it has poor stats. The cards are mediocre in arena.
These cards are pretty boar-ing..
In all seriousness, I loved the 3 of them
Not really constructed material, maybe the spiked one would be good on aggro decks to kill taunts, but they are all good in arena.
Solid stats too, so all the portals are buffed.
Ahhh-Chooooo!!! *sniffles*; there's so much dust in the air =)
But can they ride that hog?
Lets go on a few words and minutes:
REMOVED (Since I double-Posted)
Just in Mill based deck. The 6th slot in HS is too much competitive ( Cairne, Sylvanas and Thaurissan)
For those wondering what race from Warcraft these pigs are: they are quillboars and, like the vermin (the rabbit-like race), they are more humanoid in their Hearthstone incarnation*.
*Although quillboars are more humanoid than vermin in World of Warcraft too.
Shouldn't hogs be Beasts?
They are not beast because they are Quilboar.
