Murloc synergy is weak? Did you forget the 1 mana 1/1 raid leader? or the 3 mana 3/3 give everyone +2/+1? The 2/3 for 3 that cast PW: Shield on all your minions? The 2/4 for 4 that gets +1 attack for each murloc tag on the field? The 3/4 for 1 if you sacrifice a Tinyfin? The Murloc tag is WITHOUT A DOUBT the most powerful tag in the game. I cant imagine a single card that wouldnt benefit from being considered a murloc. 

The most basic Murloc Raider has to compete with other 2/1 for 1, including one with Taunt, Stealth, Condition charge + Pirate, Deathrattle: Get a spare part + mech or gain +1 health per spell cast, and it's still a powerhouse with the right synergies.

Murloc Knight is a murloc, make it good in Midrange Pally and you make it absolutely barbaric in Murloc Pally.

Why do they give Paladins all the murloc synergy... there's no real reason in warcraft lore why paladins would be aligned with murlocs... give other classes some too

Yeah and I don't get why they just gave up on giving Shamans Murloc cards. 

Well it's boring by effect, but it's also probably one of the strongest Murlocs pound for pound ever printed. Why? Because it's effectively a 3/2 for 1mana Murloc and that's the best stats for mana cost of any Murloc to date. If I were running a Murloc Paladin deck I'm running 2 of this card for sure (unless of course it's the Anyfin combo deck). Will this card finally make Pally Murloc good enough though? I doubt it. Murlocs are so weak on the whole, it would take some gigantic overpowered murloc cards to make it broken enough to battle the other broken decks currently in the meta. As good as Chum is, Murloc synergy just isn't broken enough yet.

The basic murlocs are aggressive stated so they would need a hp buff to work before a aoe can kill them.(broken) an other way would be a high hp card or a minion with stealth so they could buff a minion most of the time.I would like a card like this: 1mana 0/2 stealth,  summon a 0/1 murlocs at the end of you turn. (Worse  0/2 egg on there own but pretty good with flametongue, call of the wild or the new buffs and the enemy has to invest mana to kill the small stuff fast. 

I like the cards, but failt to see tha actual lack of consistency woth Goons. Shoudve been +1+1 to all murlocs in your hand, since it's narrow enough as is, and all paly goons cards buffed all minions so far. Still a pretty great 1 drop for paladin.

One of the strongest cards spoiled so far, although it might not have a good home to fit into  :(

In seriousness, this is a great card in the right deck as it has the rare distinction of being a one drop that you always want to play on turn one.  It is also very generic and very difficult to get excited about.

The effect is very powerful for a 1-drop but I doubt this is what finally pushes (non-Anyfin) Murloc decks to viability. Could definitely find its way into some sort of Menagerie/Curator deck though

 What other murlocs would you run in a Curator paladin deck though? Finley and Murloc Knight are the only ones that come to mind. Maybe Vilefin Inquisitor as a one of if you run stuff like Zoobot. Having a 2/1 that buffs only 5 other cards in your deck doesn't seem all that consistent, or appealing.

Well you wouldn't run all of them, just saying there are more potential candidates. There has to be a sweet spot for all these competing synergies, though it could turn out that even the sweet spot is too inconsistent.

I don't like 2/1s so much... has synergy with the Steward tho... meh... kinda filler

Remember also, that due to rotation next year, this might just be a small contribution to the future of murloc paladin in standard. That, plus the above mentioned anti- synergy with finja (cause that card is actually really good)
