BatStone #1: Hearthstone Differently - A Standard Tournament with Card Bans

Nice.
Turns out that RNG > 4 MANA 7/7
I'm a bit disappointed right now. Hearthpwn is one of the few websites I go to to get up-to-date correct information, it's what you strived in and I enjoyed it, I could see the more important news and tournament entries.
Apparently, the qualifier is today at 4 PM CEST (7 AM PDT). It was an open qualifier for everyone and there is no mention of it in this post. I only found out now there was and I'm now in position #237 of the waiting list.
It would be better in the future to write this down as well, I doubt I'm the only one that wanted to participate in it.
I love this. I'm pretty fucking tired of seeing so many 'pro' matches being decided by a coin flip when somebody plays [card]Yogg-Saron, Hope's End[/card].
Hearthstone already doesn't have that much right to call itself a serious e-sport, with that card being played so much it's just one big joke.
when you became a serius e-sport professional gamer, who participates constantly in major tournaments...then, only then you can say hearthstone aint a serious e-sport.
meanwhile you can continue "seeing so may pro matches" games...
Love the idea, bans could have been better.
LOL this aint LOL, if you want that go play LOL
I can understand the ban of heavy RNG cards like Yogg to make the game more skilled based. But Call of the Wild? Or Axe?
I hope one day we see a tournament without classic cards
Zoo and freeze Mage meta
If they really wanted different matches they should have banned way more cards than just five. Or maybe I just misunderstood something. Five from each class and five from all classes-cards, that's more like it. But the idea behind all this is good.
Without Barnes and Cow hunter is like priest.
Interesting to see if these card bans would help Paladin/Priest/Rogue have better presence in the Tournament scene...
Well, we will see a lot of freeze mage since warrior will be unplayable.
Inb4 Freeze Mage fails, because Warrior is still good.
Warrior without War Axe won't be good.
Control and C'Thun warrior does not really care about the loss of Fiery Win Axe. They can use King's Defender. 1 Mana does not really matter for a class that intends to draw through the whole deck anyway. If it is a more aggressive warrior like Tempo or Curator warrior they can even get one more durability from the taunt.
It's the "these cards make me salty so I'm gonna ban them" tournament.
No thanks.
It's the "i'm trying to make a smartass comment and fail" guy?
No thanks.
