Nefarian Rises! - A Coop Tavern Brawl

Join forces with a friend to take down Nefarian. Again. Anduin teams up with newcomer Morgl in this new cooperative Tavern Brawl!

This week's Tavern Brawl is the same one being demoed at gamescom 2016! We're fighting Nefarian and doing so cooperatively under the guise of Anduin and Morgl. Below you'll find a list of special cards in this week's Brawl.

Brawl Fight Info

Nefarian enrages twice during the encounter.
- 160 Health - Gains 5 attack and will cast board clear through Elemental Destruction
- 60 Health - Gain 5 more attack for a total of 10. He heals for 30 and deals 30 damage to all minions through Twisted Light.
- His second enrage upgrades his cards.

Brawl Specific Cards

Bamboozle (New) Swap player's hands.
Cleave (New) Deal 7 damage to a minion and its owner.
Cleave (New) Deal 4 damage to a minion and its owner.
Don't Push Me! (New) He's getting angry....
Explosive Rune (New) Summon an 'Explosive Rune.'
Explosive Runes (New) Summon two 'Explosive Runes.'
Flame Missiles (New) Deal 5 damage randomly split among all other characters.
Flame Missiles (New) Deal 10 damage randomly split among all other characters.
Glorious Finale (New) The true battle begins....
Immolate (New) Deal 4 damage to each hero.
Immolate (New) Deal 7 damage to each hero.

i think this one is harder than mekkazhod

at least he's still generous enough for not dealing 30 damage to you when he does for anything else

wonder what he will says for other heroes something like "HUNTER!, THE BEASTS SERVES ME NOW!" and deals 29 damage to each hero

I agree.

I absolutely hate this Brawl with a passion. It's not a true co-op if you can't see your 'team mates' cards.

Quite easy with Stoneskin Gargoyle. Just play the "wow" emote before playing it and right after you play it so your team mate knows this is the win condition you're going for. But yeah, each match is a bit too long for me. Queue'd away the Brawl quest.

I prefer Intrepid Dragonstalker, the guy that gets +1/+1 for every card played. The buffs have more or less the same effect as healing, but the stalker grows much more explosively even if you don't have quite the right buffs. There's also ancestral healing to set up the divine spirit inner fire turn if you can coordinate that with your buddy.

I wish the brawl would guarantee one or two bamboozles early on so both players know what's up.

Nice Brawl! :)

Haven't beat it yet, cause I had some bad luck with my teammate:

only healing his face, while I got consecutively damage from Nef

not playing zombie and passing the turn with unspend mana, so one more time no heal for me...

Best move (after switching cards): Cast Windfury on Cairne (6/4, could have been healed to 6/6) --> slam it into 5-attack Nef --> heal face --> cast Power Word: Shield on Baine

Not clearing explosive rune on my side, while I had 7 HP left...

At least this gave me a barrel of laughs.

I will give it another try this evening and get a better mate. :)
