Fool's bane is my favorite card announced for this expansion. It finally gives Warriors the ability to truly use their ridiculous armor as a resource. Definitely going to build a control warrior around this card when it comes out.
You mean besides absorbing Cthuns and withstanding fatigue and shield slamming... yes, it'll finally be useful.
Fair. My point was it's nice to see more uses for armor than just taking heavy damage. As a control/fatigue player It sometimes would be nice to have options other than just depending on drawing shield slam to do something a bit more aggressive with the armor usage and I'm excited to have that option now.
Personally, I just see this as an alternative to gorehowl if the meta is filled with aggro. Other than that, Gorehowl over time produces more value and can hit face. I also feel this card at 5 mana competes with brawl, which in a lot of situations is probably better. Sometimes vs aggro, you're in a situation where you can't afford to use your face to clear the board, and would prefer if a brawl cleared it cleanly (especially vs boards filled with little dudes). This is undoubtably strong vs boards with a few minions that you don't necessary want to brawl(I'm thinking shaman boards with tuskar totemics and feral spirits, or paladin boards).
I hope so
Purify is special indeed...
lol a infinite use weapon for a class that usually survives a ancient one attack
I'd say that Fool's Bane is a preeeeety good card for arena.
Maybe a Shadow Priest portal :O ? The Maelstrom is obviously Shaman and the last one is for Paladin (Silvermoon)
Shadow Priest is related to the Void and the Old Gods, so that actually is very possible.
I like the fact that warriors are getting a common weapon.....warrior arena matters boys.
The text would have been much better like this:
"Unlimited attacks each turn . Can only attack heroes once ."
It also wouldn't be the same card then haha
creative ! like
This observation is silly. Warriors are Warriors. Of course they have and need weapons. The basic playstyle of a Warrior is to sit around under armor while swinging with his own face to control the board. Hunters have one of the best weapons in the game and don't depend on weapons anywhere near as much because they have a much more robust card list of minions. And Paladins have Ashbringer and Truesilver, and have had the absolutely broken Coghammer...
give warriors more secrets mane
Hunter only has two weapons? News to me.
I love the Fool's Bane's flavor, as it actually indicates that the fool is the wielder, not his target.
Trust me, there are going to be many fools hitting a minion twice or three times just to get rid of it, and then dying to a fireball next turn, just like it often happens to shamans with Doomhammer.
Life points are a resource, sometimes it's ok to take a lot of damage in order to get rid of a minion.
but Elothel is also right, a lot of times you do see players go off the deep end to remove something.
