Prince Malchezaar The card never in reno deck and full legendary reno deck
no its not.
IMAGINE: You get 5 Malchezaars from Malchezaar and then you get even more Malchezaars from each Malchezaar.. It's like UNFATIGUEABLE DECK or MALCHEZAARCEPTION, PogChamp
I'm confused, does Malchezaar have to be in your opening hand/mulligan in order for its effect to take place, or do the five extra legendaries get included no matter where Malchezaar ends up on turn 1?
I don't get why people don't understand Malchezaar's effect is a DOWNSIDE. Think about it: you have a 1/30 chance of drawing any given card that you want in your deck. If you put Malchezaar in your deck, you now have a 1/35 chance of drawing the card you want, and there's 5 cards that you have no idea what they are in your deck.
Of course, you can get very lucky and end up with the perfect legend at the perfect time, but that will be a very rare occasion. More likely will be you drawing 8/9 drops early against Shaman aggro and just dying because you're not drawing the removal/boardclear that you so desperately need. It's just more randomness and inconsistency, like Yogg-Saron: it can win you the game in spectacular fashion, but more often than not it will go neutral or just lose you the game outright. More played for fun than for any kind of competitive deck.
You're getting pissed off for a dumb reason. No one said the effect made the card bad, only that it is a DOWNSIDE, and it absolutely is unless you're in a control mirror. Even in a control deck, it's a downside against aggro and often against mid-range.
u ned to calm down before you start making assumptions, and think about what others are saying. Because you seem to emotion for no reason ill just link this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJisHPgAJn0&ab_channel=Firebat
The legendary card will be insane in control v control matches. 5 extra non fatigue draws are just incredible
It's for cards like Malchezaar that the term "auto include" was coined.
Only in control decks though.
Feels like the Malchezaar effect is made exclusively for the sake of being different. In any normal circumstance a battlecry would have done the job.
No shit sherlock, how perceptive of you, bet you were waiting all day to call someone "wrong" on a forum.
The whole point is that this adds nothing to the game. If this was a battlecry nobody would have seen anything wrong with it and this was probably the first draft. Do you think making it with this new mechanic adds any depth to the game? or the effect was too powerful and had to be offset somehow and this was the only viable option? or the best option? I think not.
Thank you for your valueable input, user_711705!
But your Reddit is in another tab!
There's a big difference between this card as is and with a battlecry effect. As it is, it's only really good in control decks, because it can mess up your curve and ruin the win condition for aggro and midrange decks. As a battlecry, it would have an entirely different use. It would still be just as good if not better in control, but you could also pack your deck with cheap, efficient cards, and rely on this one card to give you reach into the late game, since most legendaries are expensive and high-value. It is no longer a control-only card, but allows people to build aggressively unbalanced decks that automatically balance themselves out when you play it, ensuring you get the advantage in the early game without running out of steam in the late game. There's a reason they don't want to make cards that work in any style of deck because they would be overused and people would get sick of them, just like Dr. Boom.
Protect the King and Bolster combo!!! The dream is real!
One of the first things I think when I see this card. I can make a 35 legendary deck now.
TotalBiscuit is that you? xD
Demonlock will be a thing once again. 5/6 for 5 with the only drawback getting five potentially good or bad minions? Yeah. I'd play that.
Also combo card for Bolster is nice.
The best thing about the Legendary card is that because it follows the deck-building rules it's actually better for new players, instead of experienced ones.
If you already have all the legendaries you need this card will mostly likely just add garbage in and make it harder for you to draw good cards. If you don't have any, the chances of you getting something good is more likely.
