Update 2:15 AM EDT: We're done adding decks for the night. There's some pretty fun looking Yogg decks and yarr-harr-harr decks! Special thanks to ShadowsOfSense for helping me put them together.
Notable Player Decks for the Americas Spring Preliminary 2016
Blizzard has sent us decklists for all the participants of the Americas Spring Preliminaries happening this weekend! We've gone through them and found some of the more notable players and top ranking ladder players and put together their decklists below much like we did for the EU Spring Prelim last week.
All the players have had an opportunity to see each other's decks already which is why we were able to do this. Onto some basic information about the tournament and then.. the decks!
Event Information
There are two events taking place this weekend, a region-wide Fireside Gathering tournament on Friday and then the actual Spring Preliminaries on Saturday and Sunday. The top 32 players from the Fireside Gathering tournaments will be crowd Tavern Heroes and will join the top 128 ranked players from the Americas region Standard Ladder in the main event.
- Dates: Saturday May 21, Sunday May 22. Games start at 10 AM PDT.
- Stream: The Hearthstone Twitch channel.
- Casters: Dan 'Frodan' Chou, Brian Kibler, TJ 'Azumo' Sanders, Simon 'Sottle' Welch, Alexander 'Raven' Baguley, Janne 'Savjz' Mikkonen, Robert 'hx9' Bacas
3 players without shaman, one without warlock
0 priest, which is unplayable without Lightbomb, Deathlord, zombie Chow or Sludge Belcher
1 single hunter, which is worse than godly warlocks and shamans
Everything fine, but I'll keep my priest deck for Wild. Flamewreathed Faceless, Darkshire Councilman and Power Overwhelming need to be given the Buzzard/Warsong Commander treat !
Was expecting Amaz to play priest. This is kinda a strong silent declaration about how the meta is doing.
Not a single Priest.
Rest In Priest
I'd say there are definitely more notable names than me, but thank you HearthPwn. Some names that should make the list: VLPS, Neobility, Leadpaint, Justsaiyan, Demigod, Astrogation at a quick glance.
If you ever put Fibonacci decks you must put VLPS decks too. #warriorplayersmatter
I like the fact that Dog is bringing all four Old Gods with him.
17 shaman decks out of 20 players. 19/20 have warlock decks.
Yeah...this set did such a great job "slowing down the meta", didn't it...
nice QQ! keep it up!
Roughly half the Warlock decks arn't even playing Zoo. It's a bit weird to include a bunch of Renolocks in your count when you're complaining about aggro isn't it?
I noticed that most of the rogue decks don't take Xaril. Should I not bother crafting him for miracle?
I've really liked it so far, since all of the Toxins are useful; only the Shadowstep one is underwhelming, and even then it can be very useful with SI:7 Agent, Earthen Ring Far Seer, Xaril itself, and even Leeroy.
Eh, I'm deciding between Leeroy and Xaril, only have 1600 dust. I saw a post on here and people seemed split on which one was better. But according to the decks the pros are using, it seems to me that Leeroy is a better craft?
Sick lineup, can't wait.
Fr0zens "Yogg" mage is a yogg deck without yogg? :D
Intersting decks. Can't wait to wacth the games.
Sadly, no one plays Priest in the Tournament scene. It was Europe's, and now even this America one.
no priest?
Wow, there's a hunter. Unbelievable!
wohoo... i love netdecking lols :)
Kinda surprised how many Fandral decks are chosen. I guess it has to work against all those control decks.
