Deck Spotlight: Spark's Beast Rattle Hunter
Hunters are just as fun in Standard, and Spark is here to prove it. Tonight we're highlighting Spark's Beast Rattle Hunter deck, a midrange, beast-oriented, deathrattle deck which makes use of plenty of the new beasts added in Whispers of the Old Gods and the one and only N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
- Great against slower decks (midrange, control) but not as good against aggro.
- Mulligan for: Fiery Bat, Huge Toad, Carrion Grub, Animal Companion.
- Focus on control in the early game, finish it off with Savannah Highmane and Call of the Wild.
The deck's crafting cost isn't too steep but it certainly isn't budget coming in at 6460 dust. Check out the deck below and head on over to the deck guide to learn more!

Deck Spotlight: Tempo Dragon Warrior
Roar! Dpsimi brings us a Warrior deck which contains plenty of Dragon flavor. Tempo Dragon Warrior combines Dragons with all things awesome from Warriors - enrage effects, weapons, and huge attacks. Here's some tips to get started:
- Control early game, enrage minions should be able to deal some damage to their face, finish with Arcanite Reaper and Mortal Strike.
- Mulligan for Sir Finley Mrrgglton, N'Zoth's First Mate, Alexstrasza's Champion, Fiery War Axe, Faerie Dragon.
- Sir Finley isn't a requirement if you don't own the League of Explorers, but he's a nice body. Mage, Warlock, & Hunter are the more optimal hero powers to take.
The deck is pretty cheap coming in at 1340 arcane dust to craft. Check it out below and make sure you head on over to the deck guide to learn more!

Unlocking Wild for New Players
New players without any Wild cards do not have access to the format. To access the format, all you need to do is craft a Wild format card - so any card in the Goblins vs Gnomes or Curse of Naxxramas expansions.
Quote from ZaerhinonWe’ve received some questions from our newest players about how to access Standard format. Since as a new player you’re unlikely to own any Wild cards, you’ll be automatically assigned Standard format. When you head over to Play mode, you’ll be facing off against other Standard decks when you queue up.After both formats are unlocked*, a ‘button’ will appear on the upper right of the deck selection screen when you enter Play Mode. When an octopus-like Kraken symbol is showing there, you’re in Standard, while a thorned infinity symbol symbolizes Wild. Just press the button to switch between formats.
We hope that helps clear up any confusion. Please accept our warm welcome, and we wish you many merry hours spent in the Hearthstone tavern.
* Wild can be unlocked by crafting any Wild-only card, such as those found in the Curse of Naxxramas and Goblins vs Gnomes sets.
When I said I wish they'd add more unlockable content, I'd didn't quite mean THAT. :(
