Kibler and the Triple Yogg-Saron
Oh baby it's a triple! Yogg-Saron is such a wonderful card.
Whispers of the Old Bards Card Design Competition
We've got a second card design competition running this week, this time though we're creating cards for a fully custom class! Whispers of the Old Bards take's our last Class Design Competition's winner's Bard class and we ask that you create it some OId Gods flavored cards.
Check out all the rules, submit your entry, and vote on other people's cards in the submission thread. Best of luck to everyone who enters - the winner gets bragging rights and a sweet avatar border to show off your accomplishment across the site!
Bow down to the God of Destruction. More like, are you about to die? Here have a pyroblast in your face! And to think i spent 1600 dust on him...
Praise Yogg! =)
Also, the googly eyes on Yogg are too cute :)
This Kibler guy makes me sick with his disgusting narcissism. Can't errase his horrible video thumbnails with his smug face from my youtube recommendations...
Nice.
Those other iterations of Yogg are... interesting. Glad to see they're trying to come up with genuinely new mechanics instead of boring crap like Y'shaarj.
Whenever I see Yogg I laugh and hit the "Wow!" emote as Yogg ends up killing himself and attacking the caster. 10/10
That article is really fun read. I would love to see more cards with some ´´time mechanic´´but I get that there are technical issues.
People are trying him out and having fun with him now, but that will all change tomorrow when the new season starts.
I'm kinda a sucker for looking at older designs and cut concepts seeing what could have been. I really hope Blizzard does this more with some other cards.
Funny how many peoples most fun and best dungeon was Ulduar, and now a lot of peoples favourite card is Yogg Saron..... Half Life 3 confirmed!
Some Yogg-Saron where really OP but I really like the one where you have only 15 seconds to play (that's my style).
I think that one just seems really bad unless you're playing Druid when you can get it out on turn 1 or 3. Your opponent would instantly know when you have it since your turn would always rope and they would keep removal ready.
Can't wait for popular Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound decks
So far i've seen Yogg 3 times, and every single time it resulted in stuff like him using Astral Commucation or clearing his own board and buffing mine. Needless to say, I laughed my ass off.
But seriously tho, this card just let this card stay in normal games. It should be banned in ranked... It's pretty much the equivalent of 'flip a coin: Heads you win the game, tails you lose'.
Nice to see what could of happened.
could yogg ever be in a serious deck though? competitively. these decks all look great on paper but yogg is so nuts it just doesn't seem worth playing with the random rng.
No. If you put Yogg in your deck, for ANY reason, it's tantamount to declaring "I don't care whether I win or lose, as long as can appear in a Trolden video".
It's not meant to be a deck's only win condition. If you've played enough spells throughout the game and you're about to lose, it gives you a potential out you otherwise wouldn't have had.
Exactly. In my opinion: number 6 is the best and most fun, even though its made of purest RNG-ium available, 5 wouldn't change much I think, 4 could probably be extremely powerful/op in rogue or mage, 1-3 are terrible designs. Of the artworks given the best one has been chosen (nr 3, really? what the hell is that supposed to be?), though they could have left just 'Yogg-Saron' as its name,
