Event Recap

We learned a few details about the upcoming expansion.

No more Sorry emote. This has been replaced with a "Wow" emote.
You will get a quest to complete two games in Standard which rewards you with 5 free old god packs
You will get another quest to complete seven games in Standard which rewards you with yet another 5 free old gods packs.

Open Old Gods Packs Early - HearthPwn Packs Simulator!

We've introduced a new pack onto our pack simulator - Whispers of the Old Gods! This pack uses the same odds that Hearthstone packs use and you will only find Old Gods cards inside of them. Head on over to the pack simulator to open up a Hearthstone Old Gods Pack!

Please be advised that Gold Cards are not yet obtainable due to us not having them in the database, so scores may be a bit lower. This will change once we get the golden images for the expansion!

Nerfed Cards Disenchant Cost Update

When Patch 5.0 arrives, changes will be coming to certain Basic and Classic cards. You can view the full explanation behind these changes in our Keeping Hearthstone Fresh blog.

Classic cards that are changed as a result of Patch 5.0 are eligible to be disenchanted for their full Arcane Dust value until May 10th PDT. If you would like to disenchant these cards for their full Arcane Dust value, please do so before May 10th PDT. Hunter’s Mark is excluded from this list because Basic cards cannot be crafted or disenchanted.

So happy I won't have to hear (seems to always be Mages) spam "sorry" everytime they counter spell or copy a big minion from the dumb secrets, or the insane luck that always results from flame walkers pinging the perfect amount to kill all the minions on board.

imo anomalus and selfless hero seem a bit suspicious

first quest is win 2 games on standard and when you do that one a new quest will ask you to win 7 games on standard. So 9 games to win in total.

Hol up. So these two quests just kinda float there until you have an available quest slot right? Otherwise I'll have to clear my quest cache up and empty it before Tueaday.

Still, 5 packs is way more value than 40 gold.

Thank you so much, I was worried. The only thing I could remember similar to this was when you get your first arena ticket when you join and that was a daily quest slot, but that was so long ago!

They had room on top for a seventh emote, I think that would be better, I love saying sorry; both genuinely and with as much salt as possible.

People do but after mostly turning a game around and then getting 1 turn away from lethal to then have someone draw a card, say "sorry" a few times, and then play the one card in their deck that could win it for them it pretty frustrating.

I've often done a "Sorry" after e.g. a wifi fritz caused me to waste a couple of minutes of my opponent's time. I'm sorry (hoho) to see it go.

I would like to see more emotes. Something more fitting situations like "Frostbolt+Frostbolt+Ice Lance+Ice Lance+Fireball. Something like: "Wow, what an fun and interactive game!" :D

The decks on these streams are never particularly refined, but I really enjoyed the back and forth board state in the Mage/Shaman matchup. It might be all for nothing, but I feel way more confident in a slower meta than I did watching the TgT stream. They kept a lot of great cards under wraps. Plus 13 free packs?! The hype is real.

Honestly, after getting 1-3 cards a day for the past few weeks, I'm overwhelmed with the amount of awesome that is in this set. I can normally juggle card reveal discussion and work pretty well but today....

How about Forbidden Ancient and Forbidden Ritual. Not all classes need a forbidden card.

And Rogue got Southsea Squidface, but I also think Rogue deserves some better weapon buffs, especially now Blade Flurry only damages minions and costs (4). That is just too much for effect, Rogues can't even get a big weapon anymore. They really want us to play Poisoned Blade.
