Beta Collection Wipe Clarification

And I've yet to see a single person give me a recent blue post that suggests anything more than collections is being wiped, so until that time, only collections are being wiped.

For the wipe, everything is wiped - this includes quest progress, character levels, just about everything. It will be as if you were starting a new game.

You will keep your golden Gelbin (if you have acquired one) after the wipe.

(From the same linked article) Players who purchased card packs or Arena entry with real money prior to the collection wipe will be credited back with an equivalent amount of gold following the wipe, which can be used to re-purchase packs and/or Arena entry to re-establish their collection. These packs will not contain the same configuration of cards as the packs acquired previous to the collection reset.

Encouraging Creative Gameplay

Something that bugs me to no end (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) is when 0 Attack cards can gain more than 0 Attack via another card (for instance, a Raid Leader gives all other minions +1 Attack).

We would much rather encourage creative game play than say, "You can't do this because it doesn't make sense!" Restricting game play in that manner just isn't a good experience for anyone, and there's always a creative way to imagine things if you need to justify it making sense in a logical manner.

Totems, especially fire totems, are known for shooting out blazing balls of fire or emitting a power nova of heat.

Lightwells are commonly known for their refreshing healing capabilities, but if you stand in the light too long, you're going to get a sunburn. Ever catch a ray of light in a magnifying glass? It burns!

Summoning Portals can simply just be ejecting demons from the nether at an unexpectedly rapid pace - I wouldn't want to be hit by an imp flung from a summoning portal at 50 miles an hour!

It's all about having fun with card combinations at the heart of it.
