Fun cards for Warlock! The location seems very strong actually, just 6 turns is ALOT! If the future set gets location support I could all see these cards being bangers. Consume, insane sustain
That surely looks like a bunch of cards.
Until I don't build a deck and test it, I'm not really convinced that there is that many Zergs to play Zergs as Blizzard has intended. But is weird the whole archetype is about make a swarm and attack, and Warlock got a completly unrelated Location support with a Zerg skin.
So why is Warlock er Zerg class again?
The are disgusting and unethical.
Zerg, like Warlock, gain power through consumption and sacrificing lesser units.

Zerg is all about locations and buildings, including Creep.
If anything, it's weird that Protoss and Terran don't have more location synergy
Now I'm not a starcraft player, but aren't all factions in an RTS game about buildings?
On that note I agree with you that it's odd that only warlock seems to have location synergy. However, I would argue that nobody should have it, since buildings are a pretty generic element in every RTS. We also don't have WC3 buildings/locations :)
Well, we did have those Outposts back in the Barrens expansion.
Location feels powerful! Just super slow. The other two cards feel lower power.
Oddly all 3 cards feel like they don’t have synergy with the rest of the Zerg cards. Nothing to do with swarming, or board presence. Zergs only 3 defensive cards all appear to have gone to warlock.
Warlock is currently the 9th best class by WR on hsreplay, so hoping we’re wrong and this lets warlock climb back up for a format

I love bad but interesting cards. These cards aren’t as powerful as the rest, but they’re intriguing. I like trying to make cards like that work as main pieces of decks.
It’s rare to find a minion or spell that synergizes with locations.
Also, playing Twisting Nether with that location on the board would leave you with a minion instead of just wasting your entire turn on a removal spell. I know that play is not powerful; I am just listing interesting application of the card.
What I really love about these cards is that they inspire deck-building. I enjoy combining new cards with very old ones (especially the unplayable ones) to create novel decks. Unfortunately, the majority of the miniset cards only synergize with other miniset cards.
I don’t care about the low power level; I only care about the creativity of the cards or rare mechanics in the game. I’m going to play them anyway, no matter their power level.
When I was younger and impulsive, I bitched and moaned at 'bad cards'....BEFORE the next year's expansions expanded on the synergy.
I will never write off a card at the end of a Year, especially if the next 3 expansions bring possible synergies.
(Except for the Ragers...for now.)
To be honest, I don’t think Spine Crawler is bad at all. It’s a big taunt that protects your smaller units, similar to Tar Creeper or Treasure Guard. Some aggro decks used to run those taunts in the past.
And as you said, next year it could expand on synergy, unlike some other cards in the miniset that only have synergy with Zerg or Protoss.
from a lore standpoint its great. The concept of "having to be on creep (location)" to have attack is smart.
Guess its not a good card for Warlock though.

Sigh... Classic 8/8 Ultralisk... Make something different some time... Could have been a 7/10 with the "dmg adjacent minions", really getting that cleave mechanic in SC2.
So every class gets cards that harmonize with the Zerg and have additional effects. Only the Warlock gets nothing. Thanks Blizzard.
Didn’t expect Warlocks (or Zergs for that matter) to end up with defensive option.
Spine Crawler is bad but it is still a Zerg so opponent need to consider removing it asap anyways.
Ultralisk Cavern and Consume help you get to your Wheel of Death setup in a different approach. You can in a pinch use Consume on the other location that summon a titan construct of target friendly minion with rush
