the 3 drop Dr pool is very small
So I see people complaining about it. Am I the only one that's happy with the rune system right now? FFU, UBB, triple blood, and rainbow have all been viable this expansion. The reason this is possible is because death knight has a solid core of cards (the spell school package) that allow a lot of variations on the same deck. We've finally completed the transition away from what death knight was at launch: three different classes in a trench coat pretending they had a cool deckbuilding mechanic. They could only do that to begin with because they printed two years worth of cards at once. The new situation is: you have a deathknight deck, and the runes you select meaningfully modify it. It's become an actual cool deckbuilding mechanic that doesn't require three completely different decks to be viable in one class. This is working. This is doing well. The system is not stupid and the developers can do this. Don't get rid of it.
Airlock Breach is super overpowered, but you still get to pick the third rune. There's a lot of solid double blood cards to compete with rainbow, and double unholy just got a little more support.
Do you know why people are so eager to play triple-rune decks? I know Hearthstone players are always thirsty for extremely broken cards, but the double and single-rune legendaries are quite broken as well.
I don’t check or care about meta stats, but I think DK has top-tier decks, which proves that its cards are really good without needing ultra-omega broken triple-rune cards.
There is absolutely no point to playing 3 rune blood anymore. None.
Remove the stupid rune system already.
Yeah its kind of pointless at the moment would have been better to have DK cards have a single colour on them and an effect happen after playing x amount of a colour basic example below.
Red - after playing 2 red cards your next red minion or spell damage card has lifesteal.
Green - after playing 2 green cards your next green minion or spell summons a 2/2 zombie with rush.
Blue - after playing 2 blue cards your next blue minion has reborn, or spell has +1 spell damage.
Airlock Breach is absolutely insane.
remove runes already , what is a point playing triple rune card with no other support when you printing same cards for rainbow
The reason why is a triple rune card is so you can't play a possibly a pretty solid Corpse generator in Rainbow DK. And B/U/U already exists, it's the Handbuff archetype. The Triple Rune cards are the reasons to play 3 runes deck.
I think the problem with the card is the Mana Cost, not the Rune restriction. If the card was good enough, you would build your deck to play it, but at least in standard it's not very impressive.
understand but why would you play triple blood (vampiric blood = only reward) now when you can play all good card like reska in rainbow with new card and get same effect as vampiric blood ?
Auchenai Death-speaker 1 mana 1/3s are generally pretty good.
Wakener of souls Could this resurrect a starship that has deathrattle? Getting a whole starship back would be kinda nuts, but even getting pieces to reassemble one is also pretty cool.
It could. However for that to happen first you need to kill the Starship Piece with Deathrattle, and this can resurrects that instead. But yeah, it can do it. It's a 10-Cost card after all. It's actually very good.
Tho. Usually. This cards say "Others". The fact that it says "Differents" could be a classic Blizzard feeling kinda wacky in the wording deparment, or could be implying that only can resurrect the same minion "once". So I'm not extremely sure of how it is supposed to work.
Airlock breach is insane card, 6 mana gain 20 health
Assimilating Blight: Discovering the Starship piece with this is gonna be very nice, get two extra copies of it on your starship!
Op as hell!
The following are all 3-cost Deathrattle minions available for Assimilating Blight:
It... doesn't seem that powerful? Like sure, it's the first 3-rune we got since Climactic Necrotic Explosion, and some of these are pretty good with Reborn (Escape Pod mostly), but there's some real stinkers here and most of them seem mediocre.
Why on earth would they put 3 runes on Assimilating Blight? Is it really that crazy?
It is
it surely might with how small minion pool it has and the fact that reborn doubles deathrattle, I would say its more that this card is incerdible in deck that already runs under these 3 runes and not a card that enables it
