LOL. Don’t forget the Rogue class card ‘Heistbaron Togwaggle.’ What’s the point of ‘Heistbaron Togwaggle’ when ‘Marin the Manager’ exists? We used to play ‘Heistbaron Togwaggle’ with a Lackey, making it 7 mana, just like Marin.
RIP gameplay. Game is still fun but I preferred it 3+ yrs ago before year of the X when all cards were useful, deck variety was WAY higher back in the day. Now they just are trying to sell more packs....
You leave Yogg alone. Hes doing what he can for us who CAN make it to turn 9 without dying.
I imagine it has something to do with the new starship mechanics. It’ll be too easy to just Yogg steal the opponents spaceship, making the entire mechanic underwhelming
Reno is going to 10 that on 10 regardless.
First of all, Wand can be played on “Turn 8” after you play Marin on “Turn 7.” You are discussing the case when you play Marin and Wand on “Turn 10.”
Secondly, you draw three cards, not just one. I mentioned in my post “drawing zero-cost Yogg, Titan, or Reno, along with other cards like ‘Razzle-Dazzler’.” For example, playing Reno + ‘Razzle-Dazzler’ + another decent card on the same turn, or perhaps playing a Titan + Zilliax + a highlander card like Rheastrasza or Elise on the same turn, or even drawing ‘Razzle-Dazzler’ + Speaker Stomper + Corpse Explosion on Turn 8 is just so unpredictable and swingy…and honestly, a bit overwhelming. While I may be highlighting extreme cases, even drawing one very strong card (like Titan, a highlander card, or Zilliax, etc.) along with other decent cards (like 'Sleep Under the Stars') or a board clear can be very swingy and happens frequently due to the way Reno or control decks are constructed.
The reason I put quotation marks around the number of turns is that almost every class has cards that can allow for early plays. For example, Warrior and Druid have ramp cards, and Priest, Shaman, and Hunter can use Parrot Sanctuary. Additionally, nearly all of them run “Greedy Partner” to play cards a turn early
Glad to see some Marin treasure rebalance, the power disparity between wand and kobold has always been absolutely wild.
I wonder if Yogg is getting a pre-emptive hit because they don't want to have a strong neutral Mind Control running around on day one of the "build a huge spaceship" expansion.
You’re exactly right about yogg. When they first announced spaceships, that was my first thought.. why spend all this time putting together a badass ship, when it’s just going to get stolen.
Death knight has Reska still, but that’s one class. I wonder what they will do. Maybe just give him an entirely new ability all together? Or gain control until the end of turn? That effect typically gives charge, and that’s probably a buff.
maybe destroy an enemy minion. That still sucks to lose your starship, but at least the opponent doesn’t get to keep it.
Or gain a copy of an enemy minion… still super powerful, but not nearly as punishing
I think there's a pretty clear reason why Radiant Elemental is getting hit - Lightspeed. In which case, the most logical nerf is slapping on the ol' Reddit "But not less than 1" clause.
What's probably more interesting is that Crimson Clergy is now returning to Wild. Maybe they thought that with cheap heal spells actually costing mana now, Clergy would be fine?
just cutting 0 mana funnel cake cancerous interactions so clergy is not a danger now
this all drama and radiant elemental banishing out of existence would not come just if funnel cake wasn't given to priest
Radiant Elemental needed a preemptive nerf before Lightspeed got printed.
