Gotta say as someone who loves Fire Mage in WoW and I think Fire is one of the schools with the coolest cards in Hearthstone I'm really looking forward to diving into and trying to make a Fire type of mage work in Hearthstone :)
I wonder how good SUpernova looks golden. Like the best Golden card to exist imo is Entomb. If this actually radiates and destroys the planets in its art then resets... YES
This seems slow... But remember BSM is not going anywhere. Remember they can cast this for 8, then cast it again for 4 mana the following turns. I would fear the following turns most. This is the breaker of control decks.
Random fire spells..... like a 1 Mana Supernova? Please Yogg, have mercy!
I love Supernova, because the comic I'm working on is called Supernova, so each time I see that card I'm going to think "I should be working on my comic instead of playing Videogames". It looks kinda slow, but is a lot of value. And Fire spells are usually burst damage, so could be quite a finisher if you are lucky enough. Sadly I just play wild and I doubt about the quality of the Fire Spells pool.
Blazing Elemental in the right deck should always draw 3 cards. Is a 3-Mana 3/1 Draw 3 a good card in current HS? I would like to think that it is, but something in my bones makes me feel that maybe not. But it should be pretty solid.
And Solar Flare is tricky, I usually would think is not good enough, because playing spells in Elemental decks usually is not worth it, but with Saruum you are creating a brand new archetype that blends Elementals and Firespells. So you are not that worry about keeping the Elemental Chain than in a regular Elemental Deck. And after Saruum, if you have 5-Elementals on board, its a 0-Mana deal 7 damage to all enemies, with is a game winning effect. So probably an staple in any Saruum deck. Overall I think the archetype could be very solid.
How is a 3-Mana 3/1 that draws 3 cards not considered good in the current Hearthstone? Can you name any 3-mana cards that draw more than 3 cards in Hearthstone? There is “Overgrown Beanstalk,” but it requires a board. "Weight of the World" depends on the opponent's hand and it is a bad card in general. Cards like Paraglide, “Knickknack Shack,” Burndown, Robocaller, and “All You Can Eat” are all playable. Notice that most of them are just spells and don’t come with a body. “Knickknack Shack” technically draws 4, but it’s slow unless you play all the drawn cards in the same turn.
Wellm since Weight of the World is a bad card in general, and is literally a better version of Divine Favor which was for the longest time the best card draw card in the whole game, you can assume that times change.
And I said that the card is good. Just that it feels not good enough. Mainly because it dosn't draw 3 cards. It draws 3 cards in specifically an Elemental/Fire deck. And you could play in that deck Unchained Gladiator, which has better stats for its cost and in curve draws 1 extra card. If something gets shuffle in your deck you could burn it, if you are playing Weapons, Locations or Hero Cards you could burn it. If you want to play any spell or minion that is not an Elemental or Fire spell you could burn it.
So is a good card, in the right deck. But I can see it not seen any play if the Elemental/Fire deck is not that good. So for that reason I say that I'm not sure is going to get there. But I said that I would like to think that it should be good enough. There is a lot of great HS cards that nobody plays.
Carress, Cabaret Star for example is in a 0,1% of decks and has a 53,4% Winrate. That's the same Winrate of Pop'gar the Putrid which is in 15% of decks. So a card could be good, but that dosn't makes it necessary playable.
"weight of the world" requires you spend 2 mana for that effect. You usually don't want to spend 2 mana without doing anything in a super aggro pirate deck. "Sigil of Skydiving" is different because it gives you charge minions and it works perfectly with "Adrenaline Fiend" and "Hozen Roughhouser".
I guarantee you, if Divine Favor were a Demon Hunter card, it would definitely be played in aggro DH, unless everyone is playing super aggro with empty hand.
My point is that Blazing Elemental is so powerful in the elemental fire mage but obviously not good in other decks. 3 mana draw 3 with a body is really good. I am sure people will run both Blazing Elemental and Unchained Gladiator in that deck.
Zzzzzz
Fire Spell Elemental Mage confirmed. Sounds like a fun Archetype.
Supernova seems broken in Arena. Even if it just gave 5 spells it would still be great.
God the art is so killer this set. Love Supernova. Will definately hate playing against it though.
