Battlegrounds Season 8 is coming August 20th, but before that, we will tell you everything about the new mechanic, Trinkets, as well as show you all the cards for a specific Tribe, the new and changed cards, as well as the leaving cards and the cards that will stay. This includes the new Trinkets!
Today Blizzard revealed the Mechs!
New Mechanic: Trinkets
For a more comprehensive look at Trinkets it is best to browse the Announcement Blog Blizzard sent out, but we will break it down in simple terms here so you can get into the Cards.
- Trinkets are a new mechanic in the same vein as Quests and Buddies.
- They are similar to Quests in how they spice up game play, but they are far more dynamic with up to 60 choices, twice.
- You will get a Lesser Trinket on Turn 6, when you have 8 gold and a Greater Trinket on turn 9 (or your second 10 gold turn in other words).
- You are offered 4 Choices and are forced to choose 1 of them.
- Trinkets cost Gold, but different Trinkets cost different amounts.
- Trinkets are tied to 1 or 2 Minion types and will not offer if those are not in lobby.
- The lesser Trinkets are more broad in appeal and less likely to force you into a specific minion type for the rest of the game.
- The greater Trinkets are more specific and will offer a higher power level
- Trinkets offer a payoff for what you are doing, or offer a pivot choice to go do something else.
With the basics of Trinkets explained, let's dive into the cards!
Lesser Trinkets
These are potentially offered to you on Turn 6, when you have 8 Gold.
Greater Trinkets
These are potentially offered to you on Turn 9, when you are on your second 10 Gold turn.

Replicating Menace leaving with no 3-star replacement feels wrong.
Never cared for Mechanized Gift Horse, but it could be abusive late game.
Why they removed the class of Prosthetic Hand is if 1 to 1 the constructed mode card? They never did that before.
I guess they thought the Dual-Class border would look weird? Honestly they should just make new borders for all the different minion types at this point (or reuse the class borders consistently)
So what will the nerfed sunglasses be like?
