Welcome back to another Double Decker article. Have you all been exploring the possibilities with Tourists? Some of them allow As with every new expansion, we dove into past decks and added some new cards, as well as combined archetypes to try making interesting new deck ideas. These decks are mostly for fun, but they can work well if you’re dedicated to it. If you’re looking for a fun challenge for yourself, try out one of these decks!
For every Double Decker article, there’s always 1 deck out of them all that stands out far stronger than the rest.
The Winner of the Paradise Double Decker list is Mage!
Big Spell Clown Druid
Most Big Spell support is designed to either cheat the spells out without directly casting them, or discount them so you can play them sooner. This deck will do neither, but still reward you for paying full price for your spells. There’s one big reason to not discount the big spells on purpose is because of the Corrupt minions. Survival of the Fittest is the only card in the deck that corrupts Carnival Clown, and both those plus Tsunami corrupts Strongman. The Clown has always been the best minion to run alongside SotF, but anything that summons copies of itself on a Battlecry is very good with hand/deck buffs. Bumbling Bellhop embodies all the things this deck does, with Saronite Chain Gang and Azerite Chain Gang being similar. Another reason to not run the cards that cast your spells for you is to take advantage of Mistah Vistah payoff and open up your low cost options for spells. If Survival of the Fittest is this good, why not do it MORE?

"That's a Great Spell. We Should Cast It Again!" - Wondrous Wisdomball
Un'goro Quest Deckbuff Hunter
Hunters got a small package of 1-cost minion support this expansion, and some of them can work in the class’s earliest deck to use such minions; The Marsh Queen. Pet Parrot and K9-0tron are good at capitalizing on the base stats of Catch of the Day and Injured Kvaldir without repeating the Battlecry. It’s small, but in a deck of mostly 1-drops those make a notable difference. Them and many others also benefit from Snapdragon. Speaking of which, every one of Carnassa's Brood also gets the stat increase from it. They’re also amazing targets for Birdwatching, Warsong Wrangler and Hope of Quel'Thalas. Cards that card buff all 20 Raptors are definitely worth considering. Wrangler isn’t on this decklist, but is a perfectly good replacement for the Kvaldir. It’s just a small trade off that sacrifices a bit of early game for big potential post quest completion. After buffing these pack predators enough, they can gradually outtempo and outresource the opponent with overly efficient 1-drops that all replace themselves.

Clever Girls
Spellslinger Flamewaker Mage
At first glance, a Spellslinger deck and a Flamewaker Mage sound like the same thing. In a way, they are. They do similar things, but there is a distinction I’d like to make. Flamewaker Mages tend to bank up a ton of spells and discounts to kill the opponent by playing a ton of spells all at once. Spellslingers cast several things on most of their turns for different kinds of benefits rather than having an otk they’re deliberately working towards. This deck is a sort of middle ground for those. The turns you try to combo with Flamewakers won’t always be as destructive as they are in decks dedicated to them, but there’s more than one way for the deck to win. Raylla, Sand Sculptor nukes Vex Crow out of orbit being able to make a board that’s harder to wipe after a combo turn.

Shadow Aggro Priest
Perils in Paradise gave Priests a fair amount of Shadow support, but it’s not exactly geared toward an aggro strategy. They’re designed in a way that makes it feel like Aranna, Thrill Seeker is what you’re supposed to run with these cards. Priest having a self-damaging strategy can work due to the healing available, but wouldn’t it be more fun if instead of compensating for a weakness, we doubled down on it? Many of Priest’s existing shadow-like cards already damage both heroes. Now there’s just a bit of payoff for hitting yourself a few of those times. One way or another, you’ll be the one dealing most of the damage, and someone is going to die quickly.

Concoction Deathrattle Rogue
Being able to outright run cards from another class allows Thief Rogue to actually plan a strategy around the non-Rogue cards they play. However, we’re going to lean more into the Deathrattle part of the Warlock cards. Sacrificial Imp has a nifty Deathrattle and Rogues can do a pretty good job of triggering it, such as Shattershambler, Sketchy Information and Necrium Vial. There are two other Deathrattles in the deck meant to either make more copies of them or be an annoying minion to deal with. While Maestra, Mask Merchant is in the deck for the Tourist effect, but a couple heroes are worth Discovering like Bloodreaver Gul'dan and Xyrella, the Devout. The Concoction package fills in the gaps quite nicely so you aren’t 100% reliant on 6/6 Taunts and sticky 3/5s.

Menagerie Taunt Warrior
There isn’t a huge focus on minion types, but it is relevant for the use of certain cards. All You Can Eat and Rock Master Voone provide that extra card advantage every deck loves to have. Running the better end of most minion types makes Hydration Station and N'Zoth, God of the Deep more worth the investment. Having most of the minions be Taunt ones lets you maximize those Taunt synergy cards as well. Riffs also tie the rest of the deck together by throwing in that extra removal and draw power. The generic nature of Taunt and Menagerie archetypes allow for easy changes depending on what you prefer. Bouldering Buddy can be swapped out for Muensterosity if you want to get greedy with the handbuffs. The token it makes will resurrect with whatever stats it’s summoned with!

We hope you like these ideas for updated decks and combination archetypes to try out in Wild. We plan to continue presenting ideas for these kinds of decks whenever new cards are released. If you ever want a break from using the same decks everyone else built, try to challenge yourself by merging archetypes and making a successful combination of cards that can rival the power of decks in the meta!

Mista Vista big spell mage without King Tide? Nani?
Aranna, Thrill Seeker let's questline demon hunter cosplay questline warlock. Pirate demon hunter is not interested in Aranna, Thrill Seeker itself, but it allows them to play Brain Masseuse, pirate tag is relevant, 1 mana 2/4 is great stats and aggro deck does not mind its downside that much.
Reno warrior and Odyn warrior get okay utility from Hamm, the Hungry against certain combo decks, but more importantly it allows them to play New Heights and maybe Trail Mix.
Sunsapper Lynessa gives good value for holy paladin and also gives access to Knickknack Shack, which is really good card draw.
[[mistah vistah]] and [[rising waves]] look good for mill druid.
Parrot Sanctuary looks like it would be good fit for reno priest, but not sure whether it is good enough to justify running chillin vol'jin.
